Comment:

Ralph is a great guy, and very fun to joke around with in class, however that doesn't make him a great professor. He teaches mainly out of the textbook using the included slides, and does very little actual practice problems. As a result you need to essentially teach yourself the material and how to do the problems, which was very hard in acc1o1.

Comment:

Accessible outside of class for understanding material. A lot of self-teaching (research, read, w/ help from Toscano) recommended to succeed - don't soley rely on just reading or just Toscano. Tests/HWs all take home. No quiz. Makes dry content interesting. Problems walked thru in class. Disorganized at times, but he knows his stuff. Personable.

Been on Dean's List, gotten A's in other courses this semester. Prof. teaches with PP. He is not clear, gives wrong or conflicting info on occasions. Could get irritated with questions. Extremely huge amount of students near start, only 10 left near end, with only 2 scoring high enough to go on. Took it over with another professor and got an A!

Comment:

Toscano is a great professor. Accounting is not my forte and I dont like accounting in the slightest, but he made the class bearable. Funny guy, and he does slides straight out of the textbook so I would not bother buying it. Attend class, do the work, and you will do fine. He also makes himself very available outside of his office hours if needed.

Prof Toscano is a very nice man, but if you have difficulty with accounting or are looking to take an introductory course like ACC101, I strongly advise you not to take it with him. He understands the material very well, but i got the sense that he at times forgot many of us did not leading to poor grades. Half of my class dropped, including me.

I took Acc 101 with Pro Tascano, Overall, he is an great professor, if your are not good at accounting, you will not be able to do good. Unfortunately, I was not very good at accounting. I end up dropping the class. he is the sweetest i ever meet. But his grading policy is kinda unfair. he knows what is teaching, very organize and very funny.

ralph is the best teacher I have had yet. he teaches in a way that you will understand and he is funny. he helps to keep you awake on those nights where your class goes to 9pm. if you don't understand something, he will make sure you do before you go home.
