This a very easy class with interesting, controversial readings. Attendance is sometimes taken for lecture but is mandatory for discussion. Students will need to complete quizzes, 2 exams, a group presentation, and online discussion board assignments.

Excellent professor--he has clear thought processes and doesn't go too fast. Lecture slides are available before class, but it still helps to go to lecture to get the "extra" stuff. Provides last year's exams which help tremendously.

He's not that bad as many people say he is. He does go on a tangent very often. he not good with answering questions or making things clear. the best way to get a good grade is to study the lecture slides and attend class everyday. If you have good TAs then you should be fine!

This is the easiest class I have ever taken. Even though its 2 hours twice a week and attendance is required, its not that bad because we talk about interesting things and sometimes get into heated debates. If you go to class its really hard to not get an A. Take this class when you have a hard schedule to relieve the stress of your other classes

The class is changed. No papers. Only 3exams and a final and he counts 3 highest grades. Exams are extremely hard. I attended about every class and did most of the readings and have a D in the class. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Hard to understand, very boring. Worst class I've ever taken

If you love animal science in a non agricultural sense, AVOID STRICKLIN! He is obsessed with relating everything to agriculture/animal production. He reads verbatim from slides and goes on many useless tangents. Most lectures are boring. Easy class but VERY frustrating. Most of what he teaches is common sense and useless in the real world. BAD!!

He lectures by reading the material off his slides really fast and will side track to topics that aren't on the slides and won't make sense. For test questions, anything is game, even something he unclearly skimmed over. You're also required to know material from the book he never went over. Avoid if possible.

The class is fun. He gives you plenty of time in class to discuss the topics and make mini presentations. There are two papers which make up a chunk of your grade, but he is available to help with them if it is needed. This class requires a minimal amount of work outside of class. If you can take it I would recommend it!

He was very disorganized and liked to side track. His tests were mainly multiple-multiple choice. He'll throw random things in from the book so you never know what he'll ask. He was passionate about discussions. 79.9% = C in his class.
