This is a required course for my major, and it was manageable. There were three tests, and they were all essay heavy. Although that sounds daunting, she gives you a set of prompts before the test, so it's not difficult. There are other reading and writing assignments, but they are not hard if you stay on top of them. She grades fairly.

Comment:

This course was an extraordinarily deep and broad study of the history and current facets of US foreign policy. The instructor was extraordinarily intelligent, the readings were interesting and relevant, and the tests both challenging and rewarding. I highly recommend this course.

Comment:

She talks a lot, but all of it is on subject and quality. Early morning or late afternoon classes would be tough to pay attention in, but if you pay attention and take good notes, you'll do great on the tests, in which she gives you the essay questions beforehand. Very good prof. I've taken 2 classes with her and will take more.

Dr. Moore's class felt a bit rigorous and stressful but then her grading was not- so it was actually easy to coast through. I wish she could be a little more positive though, maybe try not to have a grumpy look all the time!

Dr. Moore is clearly an academic per her teaching style. She is very clear in explaining the subject matter, but sometimes it can go on for too long and become boring. She is nice and helpful, and I can honestly tell you as someone who isn't an expert on international relations, contrary to what some might say, she's not a hard grader at all.

I have taken 3 classes from Dr Moore. She is extremely knowledgeable though often long-winded. I definitely learned a lot in her classes but she is a rigorous grader when it comes to papers and tests.

Dr. Moore's classes are fairly easy and you really don't have to read the material to get by. She does expect a lot out of you, however and the her tests are moderately difficult. She is extremely smart and knows her stuff like the back of her hand! She is always willing to help out and is actually excited to do so.

You may occasionallly complain that she is kicking you in the butt, but if you give it your all, you will learn a lot, gain great respect for her, aspire to be as SMART as she is! One should experience at least

Dr Moore will expect you to do your absolute best work. You will learn a lot in her classes, if you are willing to put in the effort. Assigned readings are challenging but interesting. Tests are usually essay. Overall a great experience!!
