I had difficulty in this course, as most... However, the instructor and the TA definitely helped a ton in office hours. Definitely need to attend every class, DO NOT MISS ONE DAY. He does class participation as a GRADE and YOU WILL NEED IT.

Page is a great teacher. Brilliant lectures, beneficial homework. And the tests are literally just like homework problems. I recommend taking him if possible.

Dr. Page is very fair and passionate about teaching this class. He is genuinely concerned with his performance, and will help you in any way possible. You earn your grade in here, and he knows how hard you work. Subject material is dull at times, but he keeps the lectures interesting anyway. Great teacher, good class, interesting language (ACL2).

The teacher does not make sence in class, the tests carry a lot of weight in class. The class is absolutely useless but a requirement.the class is extremely unenjoyable. I dreaded going to class everyday

He taught SE I with ACL2, which is an esoteric computational logic language based on applicative common lisp. Translation: it's complicated, ill-supported, and unused in the real world. Other than the relative waste of the double-whammy of ACL2 and EZ-PSP, it was a good class. Page seems cooler in SE than discrete math. I guess he likes seniors

He goes a bit over the heads of many people in the Discrete Math classes. But everything he says is very smart and important, and by the time you get to Software Engineering, you should be able to handle everything he gives you. He's laid back, has a great sense of humor, and is very approachable.

The classes are demanding, but he is willing to help. He is not nearly as surly in SE II. Final in SE I was very difficult. I learned alot in his classes. They are challenging classes, but they are also rewarding.

hes smart, but he just assumes you know everything. uses functional programming that is off topic and is useless for this course. makes things more difficult than they are, but grades somewhat fair. i heard the other prof was the better way to go.
