Comment:

Incredible professor, who really takes time to give constructive feedback to all the students in the class. Made it clear at the beginning of the semester what the expectations were to do well in the final paper. Talks a lot about his personal experience, and always had the class laughing.

Comment:

Be prepared to listen to tangents about nothing that is remotely related to corporations. Not helpful. One of those Prof.'s that asks rhetorical questions, yet expects students to participate and answer what he just did. Poor grader, answer based on what he says in class and nothing else.

Comment:

A good guy and prof. My biggest critique is that it was impossible to know where we were each class bc he doesn't tell you ahead. I found this frustrating. Get "into" the cases the way he says you should, discuss and apply them on his exam, and you'll do well. He was very accessible to me at end of semester when I had many questions.

demands respect from his students yet has no respect for students or their time. He is routinely 15 mins or more late for class and then wastes more class time talking about his personal life. He is unresponsive to emails and does not appear to be concerned with his student's success.

Very impressed with Prof. Pizzano. His lectures are well-structured, logical, and concise, with some diversions making the audience feel at ease. His hypos and exam reviews are quite helpful. Thankfully, photographic memory and prime typing skills aren’t key to success on his exam.

Comment:

If you want to practice corporate/business law, I recommend another professor. His class was more on agency than corporations, and I did not learn enough about either. It's a good option for general exposure if corporate work / business litigation is not your goal. He also has little real world experience, which I think is a shortcoming.

I really enjoyed the class. Professor Pizzano presents the material in an engaging and interesting way, and ties the various concepts together throughout the class which helps review the course for the exam as well as reinforce the subject matter in general. Highly recommended!

The guy has been teaching this class since he graduated law school... He knows it all, leaves out the fat of the material, and is a very fair grader. Think about it, the WORST thing anyone can say about him is that he is a huge fan of his kid... so, in short... take the mans class!

Comment:

Yes, Professor Pizzano has been teaching the same material for years and can sound scripted. he does talk about his son and life a lot. however in this intro to Corporations he teaches you what you need to know and tells you want to focus on for the exam, the bar and law school in general. Take the class, listen to his exam hints and you'll be ok.

Although many people disliked Pizzano's class, I think he is a good professor who really prepares you for the exam and some questions you may see on the bar. I would definitely take him again in the future!

Awful class and awful professor. Needed this class for a concentration- learned nothing except when studying for the exam. Waste of time and money. Wish I read these reviews before taking the class. SO TRUE! Don't ever take him.

Comment:

Professor Pizzano is a good teacher. He sometimes gets side tracked while making his point, but if you're paying attention he always comes back around to it and makes it clear. He does have a "round about way of teaching" that he specifically constructed in order to facilitate the flow of the class. Very nice, funny, and fair. Highly recommended!!

Not recommended. He has a round-a-bout manner of teaching and clarity is not his strong suit. Additionally prides himself on not handing in grades on time. Exam was difficult and unclear what exactly he wanted.

I would pick another Professor, but his Corp class was pretty easy as far as workload. I didn't learn all that much. The key to success is going to his class and listening to how he likes to answer the hypos. The test will be some variation of the hypos he gives in class.

If you want to learn about Pizzano's son and how much money he has, take him. You'll learn very little about corporations and doesn't seem to give many A's. Take Polito instead.

Pizzano is easy in that he assigns very little reading, shows up to class late, ends early, doesn't talk about much (besides his son) in between, and the exam is a joke. However, he does seem to give out a disproportionate amount of B's considering how easy the class is. I would recommend someone else (Polito). Also found him to be a bit pompous

Comment:

Not an outstanding professor in any regard. Can be interesting but is boring just as often. But, he's a good guy when it comes down to it. Some people say you can only get a B/B+ in his class. Myself, I got an A. You NEED to read the cases and NOT just rely on the bible (which is good) to set yourself apart from the curb. Being a genius helps too.
