Comment:
Eh, nobody can make a 3 hour lecture very entertaining at 6:30PM on a Monday but Richard isn't too bad. You have to be passionate about banking otherwise you will probably fall asleep. Only 25% of the class actually came to lectures which is a shame because Richard has some very interesting stories and opinions. Great material, simple course.

Extremely boring 3 hours lectures. You have to like the material otherwise you will fall asleep in class. No assignments, only midterms and a final. Marking seems somewhat unpredictable. The TA marked really tough for the midterms, but I think everyone got bumped up for the finals. Study sample exams and understand the concepts - don't memorize.

Super long and boring lecture , class average is under 60. Sample are given without clear answers, interestingly, he expect u to do lots of reading and practice when only quarter of them are gonna be on he exam. Avoid him this class totally dragged my gpa apparently the other prof are much better

Super nice, helpful guy. No math in his class compared to other 381's. Lectures are interesting and what I learned is actually applicable to the real world.

Take him Take him Take him!!!!! Honestly this prof isn't hard .If you want an easy A for an ECON elective take him. Kinda lazy and lethargic but not a tough grader. You can even appeal your grade. His explanations are quite clear although he sidetracks sometimes. However his notes and past exams are good enough for you to get an A.

Tests are pretty easy, you just need to know what he expects. He's interesting but talks way too much about stuff that he will never put on the exam.

Ensure you take Money and Banking with a different professor. I naively thought my prior knowledge and keen interest in the course content would overpower how terrible of a professor he is. I was wrong.

Fairly boring and dull class, he's a long and tedious lecturer. His tests are pretty easy if you are an econ major, if not, they may be challenging. No assignments, 2 midterms and a final.

Good prof, class can get boring at times but he has a very good understanding of economics. Challenges you to know the material, study hard and you can get a good mark.

Extremely boring lectures. Laziest and the most unprofessional prof ever. His slides are completely useless. No need to go to his class because you will learn nothing, just read the textbook. Return the exams 3 weeks after the test. Just avoid him!!

Good prof tried to teach a class of tired students in the evening, was not that easy. But he is fair teachr and you get hand outs too, plus for a summer class he brings in outside knowledge to help you learn. Well worth the money, study hard and get an A

I agree with what everyone else says, he's lazy, monotone, sits in one spot and keeps stroking his eye during his 6:30-9:30 class. Find his past exams cause he uses them..often. But he is helpful during his office hours and actually does have a tiny sense of humour. Go to his class, study the past exams and you'll get and easy B+ if not an A.

Boring and very monotonous prof. Never managed to stay until the end of any class. Find the previous exams, many of the questions come from his previous midterms and finals ;)

Yeah, he's a bit lazy, but he still does a great job of explaining the subject matter and keeping it interesting. Tests are very straightforward, and the course is pretty easy for an upper-level economics course.
