DON'T. Just don't. Frustrating, HORRIBLE experience! His tests are impossible. He doesn't teach you or give you the resources to be able to pass his tests. I studied and understood everything from the text, but failed his tests every time. I have always been a straight A math student. Never had issues till Mr. Watkin's class.

He has a very boring voice. Pretty much you do the HW and ask questions about ones you had wrong you will do good. Tests are very challenging. Says you dont need a graphing calculator but i think that you do cause it helped me so much

I do not recommend this professor. His in class instruction is completely monotone, straight from the book, and seems to have no structure. Homework is mandatory every day for attendance. Tests arent extremely hard, but you will first have to be willing to sit through his sleep inducing voice to get the material. Take my word for it, mistake!

He's a good teacher. His voice is intersting. Like Ferris Buellers teacher. He's very helpful, and the only way he accounts attendance is by your hw. And that doesn't even have to be on time. I reccommend him highly. He was very good at explaining,and he understood that there are many ways to do a problem.

He is monotone, boring. You WILL have homework every night. He tries to explain things as best as possible, however he goes rather fast when showing you how to do a problem. If you have a question be clear on what it is. He yelled at me for asking a question.

He is the Visene man indeed. Kind, fair, and very approachable, Professor Watkins is what college is all about. Ironically, I still had fun as I sat there, in the most monotonous class ever. He grades pretty easy though. DO HOMEWORK and attend class. BigTip: Don't be scared to ask questions when the whole class isn't asking any, hoping you will.

MONOTONE! Sounds exactly like the Visene guy, I'm not exaggerating. However, you can make up all tests and homework until the day of the final for full credit. He tries, and really likes math, but I would recommend you not take this class unless you have serious determination.

he is very knowledgeable about his subject. being in class and doing the homework is the only way to pass the class. he is willign to work ewith students and allows make up tests. i reccomend his class if you are willing to work for the grade.

Watkins is worth your time if you want a clear cut way to get through Mth 3. The only downside I found was he'd teach new lessons before quizzing on the old ones. That got VERY confusing. He'll drop a few lowest quiz grades! Great sense of humor, you gotta open up to him first. Will always help if you just ask. Do the homework it will help you pass

Definatly not the Calc teacher you want if you arent strong in Trig/Algebra. He assumes you know most of that, but doesnt have a problem explaining it if you dont. Most of his class is spent going over the homework from the day before, which is were most of the learning comes from. On the upside his tests are pretty easy if you did the homework.

i think hes a pretty good teacher, except hes extremely boring. he has a monotone voice which will make you want to fall asleep, but if u have trouble understanding things, he will help as much as he can.
