One of the most boring classes, and the program for grading on his online tests are flawed. Also very hard to understand and stay focused.

You learn a lot about Microsoft access and excel. That's very useful. As for a professor, he sucks. His lectures are long, mono-toned, and the exact same as the online tutorials (AKA boring) The exams are the online projects and the homeworks are the tutorials online. I don't recommend him as a professor but it's an easy A if you do the work.

The class is mostly like self studying via SAM. Homework and project are time consuming and annoying, but you have to do them in order to know the material. Midterm and final are not difficult but you are hardly able to finish it on time. The big plus is that you do not have to come to class a lot. Just self study and get what you deserve.

cons- Boring . hard to talk to. Not flexible with due dates. THE SOFTWARE- SAM cengage, $200 and tutorialsprojects are a pain!!! easy work but time consuming. did not learn anything. pros- doesnt lecture every week, probably went to class around 6-10 times the whole semester. you can use other resources on exams. work on your own time.

He is basically a fair man. His exams are very similar to the projects he assigns weekly. There is quite a bit of work expected of you, but you will properly learn EXCEL and ACCESS. In my job as a financial analyst, I have actually used some of the applications I learned in this course. That's much more than I can say for most of my other courses.

The class was at night and his monotone speech could put to you sleep. Most of us didn't learn in class. You only learn from the homework and the textbook. He allowed us to use our book during the exams. I didn't do any of the trainings and handed in ALL my tutorials late and I received a B+ . Take him for CIS3339 if your a senior and have to.

At first he really seemed difficult, but as you get used to him, it gets much more comprehensible. The subject matter is complex, and he really tries to explain it well. Do your hw and you'll be fine. You'll learn a lot, but he's not a pushover. His tests are fair, but you need to prepare.

As I sit in his class writing a review hopefully you all realize that I'm not paying attention due to the fact that I CAN'T. Most miserable class I have EVER taken thanks to Fireworker. Talks to the board/floor, ignores questions, uses incomprehensible methods that only experienced statisticians understand, and is very condescending and unhelpful.

Hands down, the worst professor I have had in my three years at St. John's. Does not explain anything, speaks in monotone, and his class is the biggest waste of time. Save yourself the time, money, and effort from taking this course. St. John's really wasn't thinking when they hired this man.

Very fair. His tests reflect what is taught in class and he grades very fairly. He does make you do many computer projects, but that's the only way to learn this.

He's a good man - no ego. When he found out that one of the students was a senior engineer in a major corporration with 15 years PERT/CPM experience, he invited him to handle 2 sessions. Very interesting. Overall, a very fair grader, and interesting lecturer.

This is a real good man - he brings no ego to the class, unlike so many other professors. When he found out that one of the students was a senior engineer with many years of applied project management experience in a large corporation doing PERT & CPM. So he stepped aside, and had this engineer give us two very interesting lectures on this topic.

He's really good. He teaches Microsoft Office applications very well. This is stuff that I can really use in my work and will grow with it. Just do the case projects and you'll be fine. His exams are all hands on and applications oriented.

This was the most boring class I've ever sat through. It was torture. He is not helpful. If you email him with questions, don't expect him to read it. You'll get a receipt saying he deleted without reading! Save yourself.

This prof. is horrible, he doesn't know how to teach!!! If you ask him for help he'll say go and ask in the computer lab. His exams are Midterm- Excell and a final-Access. The exams are sooo long and you don't have time to finish them on time.

Not a bad guy. Problem - some students know ACCESS & EXCEL very well from thheir job, others know nothing. He basically spends half the class showing you how to do it, very hands on. Then he allows you time to actually do it yourself & he's available to help you if you need him. He's a pretty dedicated guy - came to class in obvious need of knee su
