Comment:
Dr. Robert "Randall" Barron is a genuinely nice man, but does a poor job teaching. Lectures are difficult to follow - he covers information too quickly, talks directly into the board, rambles, doesn't write down units, and what he does write is done with poor legibility. This class may be "easy," but not for the right reasons. Learn the material.

As long as you do the Webwork, you will be okay. Crazy fast grader, and always lets you out of class early. I've had him twice and enjoyed it both times.

Dr. Barron is a great professor! His classes are kind of boring, but he knows what he is talking about and it extremely helpful! If you want to get out of thermo with an A take Dr. Barron- not Barker! Dr. Barron's tests are the fairest tests I've ever taken- straight from the examples done in the lecture... Take this class!

Excellent instructor. Keeps the jargon to a minimum and teaches from a physical approach.

Really cool guy. Funny in his own way. You can tell he's just a genuinely nice person. Only complaint about his teaching is he goes through his slides (which are not on blackboard) WAY too fast sometimes. Either pay attention or write notes, can't do both.

Test format is a major plus. Work out problem section is very nearly homework problems using different numbers. Does incorporate random historical information, but that just keeps things interesting. The best professor in the department, by far!

He teaches the class very well. He likes to pull his multiple choice from the text so make sure you read the book. He is very good about giving examples in class. He does tend to get on rabbit trails from time to time.
