Dr. Hiller is a wonderful professor. He is very clear and if you prove that you care about the material, you will do well in his class. If you do the reading and participate, you will do well. Just like any professor. But he is really into genetics etc, and it shows. This was a fantastic class and i would highly recommend other students to take it.

Dr. Hiller is a really nice guy; he's dorky but in a good way and very passionate about genetics/biology. Dr. Hiller is so intelligent that sometimes he moves quickly in class, but he will always answer questions.

Extremely knowledgable professor. His lectures are fast pace, but he is always willing to provide extra help and answer questions. Do no take this class if you are looking for an easy A, you will have to work your butt off to do well. Students leave the class feeling confident and excited for future science courses.

Amazing prof. He's very funny and very knowledgeable and you can tell he loves what he does (ie: biology). I look forward to the days that he teaches because he doesn't use that much powerpoint, which I hate. If you go to class and take notes and work to communicate anything you need from him, he can help you! I think he's amazing!

Great guy, however he is not a good teacher. He knows his stuff and but he does not do a good job of explaining material (ie. problem-solving). I had to drop the class and took it at Hopkins where I got an A... yes an A. It took hard work, but that A looks wonderful on my transcript besides Genetics

He knows the material, but genetics is a lot of problem-solving and logic... and he doesn't quite know how to explain that. His "break it down" strategy works in general, but it's easy to get frustrated with concepts in this class.
