Comment:
Dr. Dale is my favorite professor at Butler University. He is a great man with even better stories. He was my FYS professor and taught us material outside of his area of study but knew it all like the back of his hand. I have considered minoring in psychology just to take more classes with him. Disregard the previous negative reviews, he is great.

Dale is a great guy. He really does care a lot about both psychology and his students. There is no way around it, you have to read. We had 9 quizzes about the textbook over the course of the semester and we read the entire thing cover to cover. If you read and pay attention in class, there is no reason why you wouldn't get an A.

Dale was my FYS prof, and he just didn't teach much. We read lots of books, and took a daily quiz which most people ended up cheating on. The books were ok, but he never really pushed us to learn anything. He rambles the entire class about stuff vaguely related to the subject matter, but never has a purpose. Its not hard, just mind numbingly boring

Bob is really nice but is very monotone. His lectures are easy to tune out but sometimes he has some interesting points. There is reading due before every class and a five question quiz over that reading. It isn't too hard. If you show up and take the quiz you will pass. Also, there is only one exam which is a 20 question multiple choice final.

Dale isn't overall a terrible professor but he is not very interesting. His class is out of a total of 100 points and there is a quiz every day on the previous nights reading. Makes you work for you grade and even then its pretty hard.

Comment:
Dr. Dale is extremely dry. It's hard having him so early in the morning because he is very monotone. Upside, you don't have to go to class if you dont want to but if you dont READ THE BOOK. He tests from lecture and the book but everything in lecture is explained better in the book anyway.

Bob Dale is the man. He is incredibly smart and in general one of my favorite professors. Very much willing to help you if you need it. Also, I don't know if I've ever met someone who loves elephants as much as he does. Great prof

He's not a terrible professor but it is very difficult to pay attention in his class. He will also ramble on about the same thing for multiple classes. He offers extra credit but the class is only 100 points which is ridiculous so be cautious.

Dr. Dale is the man. His FYS made me want to read all the books. He isn't that hard of a grader but does give a good amount of quizzes. Stay up to date on the reading and an A is easy.

Dr. Dale takes some getting used to. He has a good sense of humor and isn't afraid to speak his mind. Will go off on tangents and is slightly absent-minded. He also lets you give input on when you think a paper should be do. 5 question quiz every class over the reading, 5 commentaries (2 pages each), and 5 papers (4-6 pages).

He is outrageously boring and monotonous. Makes it hard to pay attention. Quiz every class. He is almost always late. Talks about elephants a lot. Point system is weird and he doesn't give much extra credit. Read and you'll be fine.

Professor Dale is incredibly intelligent, sometimes too much so for his own good! I highly enjoyed him and he has a great sense of humor. Even though I'm not psych major I will be taking more of his classes in the future.

Took Dr. Dale for several classes: Bio Bases and Seminar. He goes off on tangents a lot, but it's impossible to fail his classes. You will have the self teach for Learning and Bio Bases if you ever take him, but overall he's a pretty wonderful professor

Awesome! I studied for around 3 hours the night before the test, and all that I studied was the workbook pages for the chapters on the exam! Didn't miss a point and left the class with over 100%. Hardly went to class and little to no homework assignments.

Quiz every class over the previous night's reading material. You are forced to learn on your own. He gets off topic very easily and don't be surprised if there are classes that have nothing to do with what you're learning. Make sure you know EVERYTHING in the book! Lecture tend to be boring. Nice guy but not too good of a professor.

Dr. Dale is extremely intelligent and knows a lot about psychology. However, he doesn't lecture in class so you're on your own when preparing for exams (self teaching is a must for this class if you want to earn a passing grade). Also there is a quiz every class meeting that follows the assigned reading. Stay on top of it all and you'll do well

Complete boredom!!! He's easy but incomprehesible, its impossible to take notes in that class. If you read you should be ok on the exam but there's no study guide for his tests your pretty much responsible for everything he's assigned you to read, and he usually never goes over the reading so your really on your own.
