Even though the class I took was a 3 hour lecture, it went by quickly. He covers everything that will be on the tests and quizzes so if you take notes and pay attention you should have no problem with this class. He's really nice and gives out study guides for the tests and quizzes , he even goes over them with the class. Very helpful!

Teacher was crap. nothing but boring lecture every class inis his mono tone voice. you can even zone out and listen. expects u to know every little detail about everything. tests are hard and the study guides are completely useless, might as well just tell the students to read every sub section and everything about it than waste the paper on a stu

All he does is stand up in front of the class and talk for the duration of the period. No power points, no nothing, and to make it worse, his study guides for the tests are completely useless. Not a single one of my peers knew what the heck was going on all semester. I'm sorry I even took this class.

Bob was a little boring at times, but if you put any effort into the class, you get an A. His tests are a little difficult, but if you study it's no problem. Overall, a fun great teacher. His field trip was a blast actually. Recommend an easy A.

Mr. Downey is a very knowledgable teacher who has great passion for geology. He made a seemingly uninteresting course pretty interesting. He will keep the class the entire class time, which can seem a bit long, although he does give a break in the middle. He is very helpful. You do have to work for an A in this class.

I had zero interest in this class (Geology isn't my passion). Downey made an otherwise tedious GE class into something fun and interesting. He's incredibly friendly and helpful. The class isn't easy but if you put forth SOME effort you will end up with a B for sure. He offers extra credit as well. Highly recommended.

I have never taken a class that was as boring as this one, all he did was lecture, lecture. Would not recommend this class to any student at FLC. Was not very helpful explaining the labs, overall nice guy but NEEDS to retire.
