Professor Feinberg is an incredibly smart guy, very helpful if you go to office hours and ask questions. He doesn't have lecture notes online, doesn't really follow the book and his writing on the board can be very scattered, but problem sets are very very helpful. The 2/3 tests system might not be for everyone, but he is great.

I was excited to take Micro after having taken macro last semester. Sadly, this professor made me dislike econ. His notes on the board and lectures are very scattered and he tends to be pretty boring. His tests are also hard. Without a doubt he is knowledgable in economics but is not a good teacher.

Comment:
This professor is extremely boring and very difficult. He is not understanding and just gives 3 hard tests. He does not explain things well and makes economics very boring. I would not recommend him and regret taking his class. I loved macroeconomics and he ruined economics for me

Worst professor I've ever had. Graded on best 2 of 3 tests (if you're a bad test taker you're screwed). No homework other than a very short (optional) problem set; there is no way to get a handle on any material. Disorganized and horribly boring lectures in which you're expected to internalize everything. I think his course actually made me dumber.

Lecture are boring but he is a really a nice guy! He will help you if you need it. He has a hands off approach about teaching but if you like to self teach, he's the man for you.

He is interested in the subject matter but presents in an incredibly boring manner. The learning objectives and assignments are unclear and has no good explanation for his grading schemes. This class was essentially a review of Econ 301 with some case studies and much less interesting.

Mr. Feinberg is one of the worst professors I have had for economics. It is not clear what he expects from you in the class and his grading is very subjective. His communication skills are extremely bad; he mumbles while lecturing, the visual support is terrible and he is not helpful during office hours.

His class is a bit confusing and you don't really know what he expects from you. Stick to the past exams he hands out and try to read the book. If you always do your reading you can follow his class!

Professor who doesn't seem to care until you get a grade back and it's half what you expect. Not an enjoyable semester and not an enjoyable professor.

Comment:
Feinberg does his best to explain complicated subjects in economics, but often causes further confusion. I do NOT recommend this class to anyone with a casual interest in Econ (myself, prior to this class) as the tests are a random selection of topics from throughout the year and the lectures rarely feature class input and constructive advice.

Very nice guy. Course work very easy: 3 tests, drops lowest grade. The book we use is very good, and his lectures are boring but informative. Attendance isn't mandatory but can help your grade.

Very smart. Kind of a rambler. He tends to presume a significant amount of prior background knowledge, and without that, he can be difficult to follow. But a nice guy altogether.

This professor is too scatterbrained! Teaches a calc-based subject without teaching the calc. If you want to learn something that will stick, do yourself a favor and take another professor!!His course will only frustrate you!

Nice Professor, but do not let that fool you. The exams are extremely hard. The worst part of the exam is the points lost on the identifications. Must be strong in econ before taking Feinberg.

Really nice guy, but lectures are absolutely tedious beyond belief. If you're not interested in economics, this class will not help. Luckily he doesn't count attendance.
