Great teacher, but is not specific enough on grading. He doesn't give clear instructions on how you will be graded. You might think you have an overall A average but end up receiving a B. Other than that, I had a relatively positive experience during his class. He wants everyone to do their best.

Great dude but doesn't push the orchestra to be better, and doesn't demand a culture of excellency. His is the only orchestra I've played in since middle school where people keep playing when he stops conducting and talk and play while he is talking. Students who have only played in his orchestra are in for a rude awakening when they get a real job

Dr. Gregg is an A+ guy. His conducting is not so. He has little experience with strings and does not understand the nuances of a symphony. He gets short with players for irrational reasons, and does not rehearse difficult passages. He is horrendously inefficient, and he harbors a culture of lazy musicianship and a low standard of excellence.

Dr. Gregg is about the sweetest man I have ever met. He makes orchestra fun and chooses EPIC music. Make an effort to say "thank you" as much as you can and he will never forget you. I love working with him!

Took him over the summer. Great teacher. Reading isn't required. Take notes and then have tests every Friday. Tells you what's on the test the day before. He makes the class enjoyable.

He is a really really nice guy-He's also from Oklahoma,so he rocks! I think the class is really interesting--just take a lot of good notes, and study hard for the tests! he's a great teacher. And come to class often!

I had Dr. Gregg for both music history and orchestra. He was very helpful and insightful in all areas. He is a kind person with a good heart and he's always willing to take a moment to listen.
