Comment:
Incredibly lecture heavy with few supporting pieces (sometimes has pictures or will write key words on board). Little hard to listen to at first due to constant throat clearing but you can block it out after a few classes. Grade based on midterm, final, presentation, and book report. None of which are hard though it's easy to not put the effort in.

Although his lectures can get pretty monotonous and boring, the class is easy. Only two exams (midterm and final) which he gives you the questions two weeks before. Also a short and easy presentation on a historical figure. Overall, he is an easy grader and a great guy.

This man is a sweetheart, you can't help but love him and his quirkiness. The class however is really boring but if you're looking to get rid of your history requirement take this. You never have to do the readings or pay attention, the midterm and final are simple but the papersprojects are a little tedious. Overall easy grader and sweet guy!

Not an easy history class, but the guy knows what he's talking about. Structure is very old-school. He basically talks all class with minimal slides and frequently clears his throat-boring, monotone, hard to pay attention to. He's also a tough grader-takes off a lot of points for small details-but you'll do well if you can manage to pay attention.

As long as you go to class, take thorough notes, do your projects, and study the class is cake. If you miss a class you will get behind. He is always happy to have kids stop by his office and there are only 4 assignments for the semester. Plan properly and it is an easy 3.7 or 4.0

He's a good guy. Boring but he means well. Really smart if you can get yourself to pay attention and take notes in class it's interesting. Gives you the essay topics for the midterm and final before hand. The other two grades are a presentation and book review which are not bad at all.

Very boring class but not hard. Gives you the topics for the midterm and final ahead of time, just take notes on what he says in class and you will be good. Does a couple reading checks, theyre easy though only one question. Oral presentation and final book review are the only other assignments.

Had the class at 8:30, so I didnt want an exciting class. Yea he's monotonous, but he's so interested in what he's teaching and wants you to learn. He gives you the Midterm/Final and their easy. It could get a lot worse than him, so I'd recommend him

THE most BORING class I've ever taken. ...with that said, he's a good guy once you get used to his personality. very monotone. but he's a cool guy. cares about students. ...midterm and final arent as hard as everyone says they are. you get the essay topics beforehand; all you gotta do is memorize your outlines and your good.

He is very boring and hard to listen to twice a week but the course wasn't that hard outside of that. He gives 1 question reading quizzes on most sections from the book. You also have to do a book report and a Power Point on history. I liked this class but was bored to death.

This guy is very boring and monotone but not too hard if you try. Don't read the book just do the 4 assignments which are pointless and you should be fine. Lots of useless notes but he gives you each test before and they're not too bad. Overall, take him to learn and do well.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Boringest class ever, it is possible to do well if you can listen to his monotone voice but when he is lecturing he puts you to sleep and makes you NOT want to take notes. The Presentations and Book Reports are USELESS.

If you can memorize vast amounts of detailed information then this class is for you. Otherwise, the tests are impossible to do well on. Along with that, the book review and class presentation are unpleasant and bring the same results. He then tops that with a monotonous voice. I liked history before this. Do yourself a favor, don't take this class.

He's a nice guy, but his class is really boring.(bring your laptop!) 75 minutes of lecturing. 4 grades, midterm, presentation, book review, final. He'll give you the questions for the final and midterm beforehand which is helpful. I didn't pay attention at all during class and just taught myself the material and managed to get a good grade.

Definition of monotone, but tries to make jokes that go right over everyone's head b/c no one can pay attention long enough to get it. I think he's a great guy, and he tries very hard. Class is almost completely lecture. Only 4 grades all semester: midterm, final, presentaion, book review. Not a very hard class if you are ambitious.

He's a good person and really dedicated to history but if you're not then this class isn't for you. Very tough midterm and final and an unnecassary book report.Classes are your standard boring history class. Full on lecture for an hour and a half or hour + presentation.

Very unclear about presentation and paper. He reviewed both and still got B's on them. 2 exams that cover A LOT of material. A lot of time and effort put into studying and preparing paper/presentation to get a below expected grade.
