A decent guy but way too many assignments for a 3 credit class. I am not typically one to complain about working hard but lets be honest, at least 75% of the students only take a fine arts class because they have to and to bury them with work when the typical student takes 3-5 classes is unnecessary. Again, decent guy but I would avoid his class.

Bob is a fantastic professor. I took 2 of his classes last semester & am currently taking 2 more. Each one really is a lot of fun. JOUR -103 could get a little slow, yes, but that only had to do with the fact that it was 2.5 hours, had nothing to do with him or his teaching method. He's made every class (especially film studies) fun & interesting.

Awesome teacher! Made editing fun. Also is head of the newspaper. Lectures without a powerpoint, which is a downer, but he tries to keep everyone engaged while he does it. He's very passionate about what he does.

Although there were quite a few papers on films that we had to watch at home, I absolutely LOVED this professor. You can tell that he cares about his students, and he is very clear and fair in his grading criteria. You get three or four chances to get all of the points for each paper written. Picks a fantastic variety of movies to watch in class

Spent majority of time talking off subject &about his political views. I'm one who likes to learn about the class I am paying for & I don't like wasting my money. Therefore I prefer being taught in class and working and learning. I learned more from reading my textbook than going to class. If you want easy & slacking off this is the prof for you!

The right combination of serious and laid back. Sure, There was a homework and you had to study, But all in all, I remember it being a good glass that I enjoyed. When I graduated, He spoke at the ceremony, And it was a great speech.

I really enjoyed this class. Bob's a pretty cool guy. He's very knowledgeable about the material. Class could get a bit slow at times. Most of the material comes from the book and lectures. Quizzes were all online. There's also a final project at the end that wasn't too difficult. Overall, I really liked this class and would probably take it again.

Fun teacher! Mr. Marcink made me like writing more. I learned a lot of practical skills in his technical writing class and I'm definitely going to take him again.

I had him for 2 classes back to back this semester, J-103 and 201. He's a nice guy. Sometimes doesn't explain things well and struggles a little with posting assignments and grades online. most of the time he's nice but sometimes randomly gets crabby for no apparent reason. Just pay attention in class and he'll like you.

He's a nice teacher, lectures can be long and boring, you need the book to take the quizzes (they're not hard nor long). He can go off topic for a good while, and he tries to be funny. Tests aren't too hard if you study. Warning: You have to do a 2 page essay and a presentation in the end. I wouldn't mind having him again.

He was an alright teacher, nothing to ride home about. Dry humor, kind of boring, don't bother buying the book with access code because he just puts the code on iCampus. Also, you have to read the chapters, studying from the quizzes do NOT cut it, I learned the hard way! I wouldn't recommend him, but if you take him, its not THAT bad. I guess.

Nice teacher, boring lectures. Just read the chapters. Quiz points depend on if you take them or not, not accuracy. Don't buy the access code, he puts all the stuff the access code has on iCampus. Rent an old version of the book to save money. Tests can be hard if you don't study, but he curves them. Just one project at the end. Overall, easy class

Marcink is kind of a dry humor guy but I think he is hilarious. He grades fairly and its an easy pass to those who understand english. I recommend showing up for class! The lectures are kind of boring but crucial for the final exam. I highly recommend for at least English 130.

He's a very dry, boring person. He doesn't know how to keep the class interesting. He acts like he's better than everyone and thinks he's giving you a gift if he let's you out of class 1 min early. Other than that the class isn't difficult. The tests are pretty hard though, but he curves them. You'd think he'd change something when everyone fails.

Bob is a great teacher. In my film class he was a very easy grader and really seemed to enjoy the subject. Attendance is mandatory, but the movies we watched were always amazing. All in all, fantastic teacher. I was starting to lose hope in JJC until I took this guy.
