Moore is good i guess but incredibly boring. Im not sure if its because he's kinda old, but he literally repeats the same stuff every class. If it weren't for the attendance, you could only show up to the first class be fine.

Really nice but really boring as well. I would recommend just because it'd be one class that will not be stressful, but unless you have to, I would not take again. Also, the lectures & slides are all based on what's in bold from a the textbook. Exams are straightforward but there's only a few so make sure you understand the terms.

Before every class you read a chapter of the textbook and email him two questions. The tests are 50Qs multiple choice. He is very nice and the class itself is not difficult.

Dr. Moore is a good teacher. His lectures and the helpful/informational videos he shows in class can sometimes be boring. But, the powerpoints give all the info you need to know. He isn't necessarily the easiest grader, but if you do the readings, listen in class, and take notes, you should be able to do well on the papers.

Took him for my First Year Seminar. Each week you have to submit comments from the reading and then one 2 page paper of your thoughts about everything you've learned for that week--real easy. His lectures are just him talking, little to no in-class participation. Tests are straightforward, he says he doesn't believe in tricks. I'd take him again.

Took him for my Integrated Learning Course requirement. At first I thought the class was going to be uninteresting because I didn't really have a passion for sociology, but I finished incredibly interested and really enjoyed what he taught. Considering taking him for my last ILC requirement, I would definitely recommend him!

Dr. Moore was the best teacher I could have had for intro to Sociology. He is really down to earth and makes the class pretty easy as long as you are willing to put in some effort. He realizes you have other classes and his passion for the material makes class interesting. I would recommend no one more so take him if you can

Dr. Moore is the man. You can expect him to say "cell phones out of site and out of mind" at every class so just don't text. He is engaging and relates material to our surroundings. 50-question multiple choice tests. Take social Problems with him.

you have to email questions b4 every class, they count for 20 % of your grade - very important/a pain. 3 tests - easy if you study, 1 paper - easy to write. the man repeats himself in a hilarious fashion. 'when my wife was teaching at roberto clemente middle school in the badlands of philadelphia for 10 years..' - you'll get this if you take him.

Do NOT take him for Intro to Soc. I hear he's good for upper levels, but intro is abyssmal. The usual sorts of rants like every sociologist you meet, but that's okay. No work is done, no learning accomplished. Get Fr. Malloy!
