Comment:
There's a lot of content, much of it not really relevant, however, if you show up for lectures, Dr. Madadi explicitly says and repeats what will be tested. She's also very flexible. She has extended a lot of our due dates for assignments and quizzes based on class consensus. You're allowed a cheat sheet for exams so you don't have to memorize much.

Azita is great! Don't listen to the haters. She's very reasonable on her tests (she allows cheat sheets), gives hints on testable material during class, and is very kind during office hours. Take FNH 200 as your science elective if you need one, it's a GPA booster.

I joined this class with high expectations for the professor, however, I have been greatly disappointed. It is very difficult to understand her during lecture due to her stuttering and she includes an excess of information on her slides that are simply fun facts (distracting from the important information).

Overall, the class was really interesting and the EASIEST science class I've ever taken (bio major). Even though she may be hard to understand in class, you can honestly just MEMORIZE the content from the lecture slides. Whats even better is that you get a CHEAT CHEAT on your exam. I never bothered understanding very much and did well by memorizin

her exams are so hard and you get marks taken off if you incorrectly guess which I find so unnecessary as it is worth 45% of your final grade. Her assignments require lots of effort and time, however are only worth 6% of the grade. Definitely avoid this class.

Excellent, Prof. she is very helpful. The reviewer on 12/13/2017 clearly did not study during the school year and left everything to the final! Ofcourse it's going to be overwhelming if you have to memorize everything. This class was much more than memorizing, but understanding key concepts.

I had trouble understanding what she was saying during class. She speaks very quickly and often expects you to keep up with her pace. Class covers many lessons and this course is honestly not worth it if you don't want to memorize the stuff. I'm a person who prefers to understand rather than memorize so I regret taking this class.

Azita is one of the nicest profs and is very patient with non-science students who might struggle with the course content. Im from arts and i did super well in this class. She's super clear in class, gives LOTS of test hints, and is accessible in office hr. If you work hard you can definitely do well(even in arts!)! Just go to class & TAKE NOTES!

She's amazing! I took her for FNH200 and I was very happy. Just go to class and listen to what she says. She repeats important things like a thousand times so you know it's going to be on the exam. The content itself is also interesting, definitely recommend.

Azita is an amazing professor! very engaging, clear lectures. If you want 95%+, do the readings each week (so useful), be engaged, and review lecture slides. exam is very fair- some Qs on articles and videos. Assignment has to be detailed + have many references. Took this in the summer with 3 other courses.

She's a nice woman, but I would not recommend this course to a non-science student. Even with memory aids, her exams are tough and she expects minor details to be included in answers. Midterm and final are worth way too much-no participation marks. Lectures are intense and can be boring but she is a really sweet lady who tries her best.

Dr. Madadi is a really nice professor. She listens carefully to her students and make sure to answer all their questions. She prepares her student well for the exams and repeats the important information. The material of this course is interesting! As a science student, I found this class fairly easy and it is possible to get an A.

She is nice and distributes snacks in class , however, she is not a good lecturer, she just read and repeated what were on the slides and require details in exams (tough grader). If you wanna get food, take her, if you wanna lower your gpa, take her.

Avoid taking this course if you're not science major!!!! this is not an easy course for art students to fulfill their science requirement. Do not trust the UBC website!!!!! The cheat sheet is basically useless cuz her exams are extremely hard. Her final exam gives negative mark !!!! Do not guess on her exam!!! Trust me her course is tough.

Food conglomerates hate her!! Find out why someone would walk through the grocery store, reporting nutritionally mislabeled units to the parent company, with this one weird class!

She has quite a bit of knowledge in the field and makes the class interesting. Tests were pretty straight forward and you're allowed to bring a cheat sheet in with you. Only negative thing is that she's a pretty slow marker
