Comment:
Orwoll has the best intentions in the world but he makes alot of errors in calculations during class. Webassigns can be tricky, but the tests are usually easier versions of the webassigns. He is great in office hours and is a very nice guy, but the mistakes he made in class really stressed me out and made learning difficult.

He may be old, but he knows what he's talking about and is extremely helpful. Make sure you ask your questions clearly, though, or he might not give you the answer you are looking for. The tests were very fair and the questions were always MUCH easier than the problem sets. From what I've heard about DeFotis, Chem 308 with Orwoll is the way to go!

One of the most helpful professors I have had at the school who is very interested in his students and in their success. GO to office hours and problem set help sessions! He is very patient to work with one-on-one and will make sure you understand anything you are having a problem with.

Pchem is hard and there's really no getting around that, but Professor Orwoll is really nice and very willing to help. I wish that I had realized earlier in the semester how great he is 1 on 1, and taken more advantage of it.

LOVE Prof. Orwoll! P Chem was a really hard class, but he did a good job making it interesting. Very personable in and out of class. Easy to talk to, and he makes an effort to help outside of class.

AMAZING guy! So nice outside of class and willing to talk about anything class or not class related. Hard class, but he makes the best of it. He realizes that most students dread his class, but really does not want anyone to fail. He cares about his students and if you make the effort, so will he.

orwoll has good intentions, but he's very forgetful and his lectures/problem solutions can be unclear. that being said, his exams were pretty fair- a mix of short answer and multiple choice.

Gen Chem II. Alright, didn't seem very eager to help during office hours. Explained concepts well in class, though.

P-Chem is no where near as bad as everyone had said. If you do all the problem sets, pay attention in class, and go to the in-class review session the day before the test, you're set! Make sure that you study not only the math-related problems, but that you also understand concepts. His multiple choice questions on these can be a tad tricky!

He's a very nice man... that being said, he's extremely forgetful. Don't expect him to keep his appointments if you aren't in his PChem class. He's a great guy if you can get a hold of him.

He may seem flighty, but he knows his stuff. He offers weekly help sessions outside class and gives you ample opportunities to make the grade you want. Do the problem sets, attend lectures, take good notes, and STUDY!!!
