Comment:

Prof. Krause is clear about her expectations in terms of class participation, attendance and homework. Class presentations (mid-term and final) were required. She provides a well educated feedback when it comes to ideas, structure and on topic presentations. She's a very helpful, approachable and friendly. She's fun to have as a teacher.

Madame. Krause is honestly the best and sweetest professor! She really helps you grasp the concept and corrects you if you are wrong (Politily) Before taking this class, I was kind of iffy of taking this class because it had been two years since I took a french class but then everything came back and had a great semester!

Mme. Krause is the best french professor I have ever had in my whole academic career. Elle est la meilleure! She truly cares about her students. If you need help something simply ask and she will take time to explain. She is a very nice and educated woman and she knows what she's talking about. The class is mostly participation so just try!

Such a nice woman!! As long as you show up to almost every class and participate a little you'll be fine. The examples she does on the board are exactly like the test questions. If you're a percentage point or two away from the next letter grade she'll bump you up. Do all of the online homework, it's easy points.

Appears to be strict but actually grades fairly generous. Native French Speaker. Expects you to do your part in class. There will be homework - its a 5 units class. Show her that you are commited to learning French and she wont let you fail. Has a very interesting personal background. Classes are structured.

this coming semester will be my 3rd time taking her class but this time for french IV. She is such a sweet teacher and an easy grader! She is so kind and will help you to learn the language. Usually gives homework everyday and participation matters a lot !

Prof Krause is by far my favorite teacher in Grossmont. The tests might be hard if you don't study. It is not easy to get an A but if you work hard to learn French then you will. Prof Krause is there to answer q's thoroughly until everyone understands. Participation, papers, tests and homework, this class takes time but worth it:)

French 250 and 251 are the exact same, just with different movies. You watch films in French with English subtitles, then you answer the assigned questions. Do the homework, prepare, and memorize the vocab. Then you will be able to participate in class and it will be so easy to get your A. Krause is so approachable and sweet and a fun teacher.

Madame Krause is my favorite French teacher. Her best quality as a teacher is that she is very approachable. She has said so many times that she had a difficult time learning English, so you know she understands what it is like to learn a new language. I was also able to understand her French which is a plus.

Madame Krause is a native speaker with a genuine passion for the language, and for teaching. French is hard, but she makes it fun. Madame will make you work, but at the end of the semester, when you're able to "parlez français," watch the coolest foreign French films, and read the latest edition of Elle Quebec, you'll be glad she did.

Wonderful teacher!! Cares very much and wants to see you succeed, attendance is mandatory!! Overall a great class, I highly recommend continuing French with her, very good class and she doesn't make you feel dumb if you don't know the answers. Take this class!

She is a wonderful French teacher.Our class was compromised with the French 3 class,but we still managed to learn the material. She really does care that you do well, and she goes out of her way to deal with students on a personal basis to meet their needs.Probably the best language teacher at Grossmont (and I've taken quite a few languages there).

Comment:

She is a really good teacher, dedicated, and most importantly, knows what she is teaching. However, anytime she isn't speaking French, her accent is difficult to understand, and she sometimes gets lost in translation. Take her class, she is a great teacher, but be sure that you understand basic French, because that will be what is spoken.

She's one of the best teachers you'll ever have in your life. Understanding, clear, helpful, smart. Even outside the class, she'll listen to what you have t say. She knows when to laugh or to make a joke, even during class. Her class is easy if you make an effort. Definitely recommending her!

I loved having Mrs. Krause as a teacher. She is not afraid to get to know her students and you can tell that she loves what she does. She uses the book as a reference but she creates her own lesson plans that are clear and to the point. She cares about her students and it really shows by the way she challenges them to do their best. Really had fun.
