I walked into the class expecting to learn about what is being done for the Buffalo Niagara region. Instead, I got to sit for 3 hours straight listening to propaganda from a bunch of planners who think they've managed to create foolproof plans. This class has almost completely turned me off of planning as well.

Class was interesting and the profwas helpful.Tests were easy and clas had a HUGE crve. Paper neded research but was easy. Personaly I liked the clas but was turned off from planning by the speakers.Some issues were too small.Some speakrs seemed convinced their plan was foolproof when they were very flawed.Too much arrogance turned me off planning.

Mixed feelings about this class. Professor is undeniably smart but doesn't really 'teach' in this class. Simply puts up plans and gets guest speakers to give lectures every week. Still, a decent class if you pay attention in class. Midterm, Comp. Final, period quizes, and a research paper. Instructor's dedication to students in class is questionabl

One of the best and smartest professors at UB. His experience in the field speaks for itself. His teaching style is flawless and encourages the class for discussions and questions. The workload is very light, and the exams are fair. Highly recommended.

one of hte only proffesors thta cares about the students well being and seeing u suceed. i advise u to get to know him he can help u out in a big way later on. its rare to find a prof like this LISTEN to him he KNOWS WHAT HES TALKING ABOUT

he lectures like my dad. he's boring, but you have to get into what he's saying or else you fall asleep. best lecture was when we discussed if architecture was talent or skill.
