Dan is the one of the funniest profs i've had. This class could be boring but he makes it interesting. My class was a night class and he actually made going to class entertaining. He averaged the class exam score to a 75 and makes it very easy to get a good grade if you just show up to class and pay attention half the time.

Ok so please listen to me when I say. This was easily the single most hardest course I have ever taken for no apparent reason (and I'm a bio major). You'd expect critical thinking to be just that; it's not in this class. No matter how well I thought I knew the material, I still failed both exams. AVOID AT ALL COSTS and just try to test out.

Terrible professor, with a terrible TA. Took the spring 2018 online course. Instructions were for the most part decent on assignments, but when help was needed the TA would either take a week to respond, or I once got "sorry I'm not sure what to tell you". There's a clear lack of the professor/TA wanting to help.

This is definitely not an easy class. However, if you work for an A, you will most definitely get it. I took this class online and everything was made clear in terms of grading, assignment instructions, lectures, etc. There are 6 assignments, 5 discussion posts, a midterm and final. Pr. Yeakel always replied to emails and he curves grades.

Prof. Yeakel was a very cool guy. The fact of the matter is, the class itself is not easy. You are going to have to go to class, take notes, review his own notes he posts on blackboard, and DO THE PRACTICE PROBLEMS. If you do these things, an A will follow. Make sure you don't blow off the 5 HW assignments either. They make up 50% of your grade.

Thankfully grades on a generous curve because the material was hard and confusing. Lectures weren't thrilling but go to them because he offers in-class participation points. Class graded by 5 assignments, a midterm and a final. Go to his office hours or tutoring if you're struggling because it's very easy to get behind in this class.

I really enjoyed this class. The material was difficult, but with practice and going to office hours. He also is VERY generous with his grading and curves. As long as you make an effort, you will do fine.

He was a pretty cool guy and made lecture easier to listen to. He never really went over any assignments and there were only so many of them, but if you did well on them, you generally do well in the class.

By far the worst class offered at Wayne State. This professor sets the exams so that its very difficult, then adds a curve so that way the average grade is "passing". It's a general education requirement, so we have to take it. The class is harder than some 4000 classes. Stay clear of the this class and do yourself and GPA a favor TEST OUT.

Nice guy super chill most of the time. Lectures can be long and boring but he tries to keep things interesting. He has a tendency to go offor topic and it could be distracting athe times. Mid terms and finals were online. 6 assignments, one due about every 6 weeks. The tests are incredibly hard but he has a good curve.

5 homework assignments(lowest score is dropped and 5th is a group project). You get at least 70% on the first 3 for completing them. The midterm/final were difficult but he applies a generous curve. Print out ALL his online material for each week and bring that to class to take notes! His notes cover everything from the reading(don't buy the book).

This class was a requirement so I was mostly disinterested already. Although the course material was dry and boring, he was pretty decent to listen to. He was sarcastic and had a good sense of humor, but the material is what really killed it for me. I would end up skipping class anyway half way through. Just do the homework and you're golden.

If you show up to class, pay attention, and jot down a few notes then it's just fine. Test questions were confusing at times because of wording, but he curved ours which made a huge difference. He is willing to spend extra time explaining the abstract concepts in class, but if you understand he usually doesn't expect you to stick around.

Professor Yeakel is a cool guy and a good teacher. Unfortunately BA1010 is insanely boring and difficult. Lectures were pretty hard to sit through. Homework is graded lightly but takes a while. Exams are hard but he curves like a pro. Added 27 points to everyone's midterm. Easily accessible in his office though.

If you can test out of this online course, do it. The lectures for this course were convoluted. The test questions were made hard by being very confusing. This professor made this course far more difficult than it should be. Please do not take this professor!

This class was extremely difficult for a 1000 level class. It's required of course so I did not want to take it. He is a great teacher, just the information is not as descriptive as one would hope. There is a sweet curve though due to the fact that so many people do poorly. So I guess that's pretty helpful. I would not recommend this class.

For a 1000 level class that all undergrads have to take, I think he made it pretty difficult. I'm a senior & this is one of the harder classes I've taken. Dont get me wrong, there's a big curve on exams. But he makes the exams extremely complicated to the point where it's uncomfortable even if you know theres a curve. Nice guy-but take someone else

If you apply yourself in his class and don't skip lecture, you will pass with good grades. The exams are very difficult, but the curve he gives is very very nice and will bump up your grade.

Professor Yeakel is one of the best profs I have at Wayne State. BA 1010 is a fairly complex course, but he makes it more bearable. He's absolutely hilarious, makes sure we understand the material, and graded the midterm on a very generous curve. I wish he taught more business classes at Wayne, because I would absolutely take him again if I could!

Classes and lectures are long, especially if they are at night. There is a lot of material to cover over the course. He made the night lectures fun and exciting and was always full of energy so it woke you up and kept you alert. Grading and homework assignments were extremely fair. He gave a generous curve on exams, which were pretty tough and long
