Took him for Am. Foreign Policy. All he did was place blame on neo-conservatives. He is very narrow minded. He makes you bye his book which is expensive and I never read it. Got a high B and was happy with it considering how needlessly difficult he makes the class. I like a challenge but one with substance. Not hard for the sake of hard.

Dr. Swansbrough is well educated and knows his stuff. If you look at politics from one/or the other party side, you will probably not enjoy the class. However, if you focus apolitically, truly listen what he has to say, you will gain so much valuable information. If your up for a challenge take him! Got an A :)

This guy is very condescending. He hates dissent or intellectual challenges. Dr. Swansbrough is a good teacher. He has high expectations and assigns a lot of reading, but you will learn from him. He's not a far-lefty, as some commenters would have you believe. To quote Stephen Colbert, "reality has a well-known liberal bias." He grades people's work fairly, on the basis of the facts and reasoning they present, not ideology.

Great Professor. His only problem is his attraction to sharing his unyielding hate for anyone or anything that might be conservative. He is however a fainr professor and always willing to help. I received a fair grade even though I disagreed with his political opinions.

Dr Swansbrough is one of the best Political Science professors at UTC. He is very challenging, but you definitely learn the information. He is extremely well educated and he expects his students to be prepared for class. Personally, I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

Professor Swansbrough is a very educated man, who has expertise in the subject matter. His intelligence is high and so are his expectations for his students, too HIGH. He keeps you over for class, gives you unnecessary information, and you can be a well prepared student and still make only a C.
