She is an excellent teacher. I would highly recommend her. She can be a bit rude sometimes, but I don't think she means to come off that way. If you pay attention and respect her, you'll be fine! Note: Don't do what I did and pay $300 for the book. You're better off buying the online code needed for the class for $100.

Overall a nice lady. But when you disrespect her she will embarrass you in front of the whole class. So show up, and don't make her mad and you'll be solid.

She's hard to figure out. She is bad about talking down to students in front of a whole class. She was not very helpful when it came to the course material either. Her lectures were very long and drawn out. The online homework was way more difficult than any of her tests, which were very simple if you do the study guide.

Comment:

Very good instructor. She does have an accent, but it does not keep me from understanding her at all. There are online assignments after every chapter and tests after every two chapters. She always give study guides for tests, and they are usually almost identical to the actual test.

Talks slowly and says What more times than I could count-though one classmate does as a game-asks questions that don't need answers then answers them herself. She's a good teacher, not phenomenal, not terrible. Hey, I learn what I need to (mostly...).

For a math teacher she was really good and she is always helpful to those who attend class and do their work. For intermediate Algebra the class is based off of eight homework assignments that are worth 10% of your final grade, three test 70% and a final exam 20% as long as you do the work you will pass the class.

This professor is very rude and hateful. She was very unhelpful. And when questions were asked she would just show you examples from the book. She also would call you out in class. Don't recommend.

WORST math teacher I have ever taken! She taught me not a thing. She is so bitter, and comes to class so hateful. I taught myself everything, and you use NOTHING in your book. So don't waste your money.

Namavar is a really nice lady, but can be hard to understand at times and can be confusing occasionally. However, I did learn Algebra by the end of the class, so perhaps she has a method to her madness. The online "homework" portion is difficult because of how the answers are supposed to be entered, but the quizzes/tests are relatively simple.

She makes you feel dumb. She "assumes" you already know the material, she is suppose to teach you. She does not put grades into ecampus until after the end of the semester. So you have nno idea how you are doing until it is too late.If you have a family emergency, and can't do an assignment online by the deadline, she won't reopen it. You're SOL.

Mrs. Namavar is the BEST math instructor I've ever had. She is simply the best. I finally am learning Algebra! Very helpful and pleasant inside and outside of class. I highly recommend her. She makes learning math fun and a pleasant experience!
