Comment:

While course attendance isn't mandatory, you receive a point for attending class days, which provides incentive to go. Dr. Szafran is an excellent professor who is always more than willing to work with his students, however can be a bit monotone at times. Provides plenty of extra credit opportunities.

The material wasn't easy for me, but I have done really well in this course as Dr. Szafran works really hard to ensure his students understand the material. If you show a willingness to learn he will invest his time in helping to make sure you really get the material down and try to work with you. He is clearly passionate about the subject!

Great professor, but his class is extremely boring. He adds no fun to the class which makes it so boring. He doesn't give you a review sheet for any of the tests so you are to study the reading guide list and all the notes you take online, you almost never know what to memorize. No extra credit whatsoever!

Dr. S is a very nice professor who is passionate about the disciplines he teaches. The class was not very interesting to me because I am a business major. I never took notes (don't bother, everything you need is in the book) test are derived exactly from the study guide. I missed a lot of the daily assignments...had i not i would have gotten an A

Dr. Szafran is one of my favorite profs at SFA! He is extremely helpful and explains some pretty complicated statistical procedures very well. He is very intelligent, but still communicates the material in a way that undergrads can understand. Take him if you can!

he was pretty boring and has a very monitone voice but he was very fair and helpful. he does this wonderful thing where if you decide for any reason not to show up for a test he allows you to make it up later on in the course (you could miss all three tests if you wanted to but I would not recommend that)

Dr. Szafran is a great teacher. He is kinda boring sometimes, but he makes the class easy to understand. If you come to class, take notes, and do the study guides, you can pass the class with flying colors. You don't really need the book. I made a B without a lot of effort. TAKE HIM!!!!!

OMG...great teacher. If you fail this class i will personally slap you because this class is very simple. Sure, he could be dry at times, but if you just listen to what he says, you should do very well on tests. He does partial credit for partially correct answers. I strongly recommend taking him.

Mr. Szafran is one of the coolest teacher's I've had. Before I took his class I thought it was going to be so boring, but he made it pretty fun. His test are easy, they come from the notes, so you dont even need his book. He is very laid back and very helpul!

Szafran is a pro at data analysis. If you have any intention of a Master's or PhD, you need to take this course from Szafran, he taught such a great undergrad class that has benefited me beyond belief!
