He made stats hard by assigning tons of worthless homework that had nothing to do the subject matter. He was rude to students who have a hard time with math and belittled them when asked for help. He does'nt like students who struggle with math and favors those who excel in it. He's a jerk and the worst instructor I've had at Otterbein.

He's a bit tough, I mean I had to write a 10 page paper in a math class, but I learned a lot. He's decently helpful and does make class interesting- be prepared for lots of Donald Duck!

He's terrible he's extremely arrogant and expects students to know everything and he rushes all the work. He is easy to get ahold of but the problem is he doesn't help you he basically calls you an idiot becuase you dont spend enough time on the homework which I guess 2 hours isnt very much in his mind I def dont recomend him he isnt a great TEACHE

Dr. Hinton understands that we are the ones paying for our college, and he tries the hardest he can to give us what we're paying for. Yes, he makes you work, but students who are paying thousands of dollars for this education should have no problem putting in a little extra effort to get what they deserve.

I loved Dr. Hinton! He is very passionate about math and is very willing to help anyone that wants it. He expects you to do the work, however, so don't take him if you want an easy A. An A is very possible but you have to do the work for it. But he also gives tons of Extra Credit oppurtunities!

I thought he was extremeley enthusiastic and always seemed ready to help as much as needed as long as you were seeking it. He might have given a lot of seemingly stupid and pointless assignments, but I've never learned so much in one class in my entire life.

I dreaded taking this class for my Master's. I teach English and have always hated math. Hinton explained the material clearly, gave extra credit, and wanted to see effort. I wish I had experienced a teacher like him in middle and high school. I might not have hated math so much!
