Comment:
Do not take this class if he's going to be your professor. He is rude. I have never met a professor that made you not want to ask him any questions after class or during office hours. I remember looking up different profs and he was my option. I told myself "maybe the rating bad because they made bad choices." Wrong. Believe the ratings.

Comment:
Grade determined solely by true/false 50 question tests. Attendance not mandatory. Take the statements for study to heart and go to the PASC before a test. He was overall a very unpleasant person especially when it came to incorrect answers to questions asked in the lecture, no guidance in the right direction. Treats students with little respect.

Robert's class was challenging. He does lecture heavy. I recommend going to PASC because the tutors are extremely helpful. The T/F statement studies are important because you will see those again at some point. As long as you score high and calculate your grades right you will be fine. I ended up with an A in the class.

Statements of study! Go to PASC for note-taking and to better understand his lecture notes that he has posted on Bb. I suggest doing well on his 3 exams (Go to PASC & def study the statements. Write notes on those blankets in the statements). His final exam is HARD. Know the differences BW each phili & what each of them did; Inductive & deductive!

Worst professor, doesn't give back grades on blackboard, just enters your final letter grade on banner(calculate your own grade on test review day). I didn't understand a word he said the entire semester so I stopped going to his classes anyway.

This has to be the worst college course Ive taken this far. His lectures doesnt make any sense what, and hes very rude. His study outlines are all over the place. And he yells at students for having their phones out. I do not recommend this professor at all

Roberts is one of the worst professors at ECU. His lectures are extremely hard to follow (and understand because he mumbles). He gives 3 exams and a final with no other ways to help your grade. His online notes are unorganized and done completely on microsoft word. You're better off not going class and getting a tutor.

This professor is by far the worst professor I have had so far this semester. He told us to buy like 6 books but has not told us which ones to read and expects us to know what he is talking about. No extra credit, just tests and the exam. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND

If you decide to take Roberts just know this class is not going to be a walk in the park. STUDY! Make sure you know the information THOROUGHLY if you want to get good grades. Only grades are exams that are ALL T/F. There are questions from the readings on the exams. Go to PASC, the tutors will give you tips and hints for the exams! GOOD LUCK!

AWFUL. I attempted to attend class at the beginning go the semester and quit attending class because it was pointless. No one could hardly understand a word he said. Gives 3 tests and one final. He offers no extra credit and each test consists of 50 multiple true or false questions. Provides a study guide ("statements of study") answers on quizlet.

I recommend to go to class when you can but if you don't want to, just get a tutor. It would probably be less confusing than his lectures anyway. Thats what I did and I did well on every test. DO THE STATEMENTS FOR STUDY! They aren't mandatory but those are the test questions! Its really not a hard class but its not an easy A or an easy GPA booster

Roberts is a great professor. Everyone who complains is just soft & can't leave their phones for more than 20 minutes. He actually makes you think & actually teaches you things so I guess I can see why people are mad bc they're used to everything being easy for them. Never heard him be disrespectful so idk where people got that from.

Absolute worst professor at ECU. Very disrespectful, and a horrible professor. He is impossible to learn from. His tests are unnecessarily hard, he picks on students in class and he embarrasses students all the time. He will literally yell at students in the middle of class if he sees them on their phone. Horrible teacher.

I would recommend NOT taking this professor. However if you get stuck with him do the statements for study and go to tutoring. My tutor advised me to stop going to class because she knew that he tries to confuse everyone. Once I stopped going my grades on the tests increased each time. He posts notes that will help you pass, use them. Bad prof.

I went to class on the first day only and realized I wanted to die. The only other times I went to class was on test days. He said that we WOULD NOT pass the class if we didnt come, but I chose not to anyways and ended up with the final grade of a B. I did do the occasional hw assignment and study guides. Im kinda stumped as to how I passed

Roberts can be very rude and will call students out for being on their phones or not putting your name on your scantron the way he wants it. His lectures are really boring and can be hard to follow and he is also hard to hear at times even with a microphone. If you do the statements for study and follow his directions you will do fine.

Great prof. I did not make an exam and put me in jeopordy of literally a F. I respect this prof. You will work you butt of and barely passed. If you answer a question know what you are talking about clearly. The class is hard. BUY a unabrigded Dictionary and Thesaurosis. True or false 66% of the time are false. worst class to boost GPA.

He is a very tough professor but he is fair and has very clear expectations. As long as you go to class and do the statements for study in detail you will be fine. I stopped going to class to learn, I would just go to take the notes then go to the tutors for them to teach me. I never read any of the books, only the sections he goes over in class.
