Prof Hundemer was amazing!! He gave great feedback to my homework assignments, allowed us to turn the assignments in late for full credit too. (This was an I like class though) he also answered all questions in a timely manner. I just really loved taking this class, he is such a good professor. Highly recommend.

He is a very good teacher who wants nothing more for than you to succeed. He makes time if you have questions and will extend due dates if you have fallen behind. You just have to communicate with him and he will communicate back, in a short amount of time. Loved his class, nice guy who just wants the best for you. Doesn't believe in wordcount

His lessons had good content but he made the assignments so annoyingly hard that it totally distracts from the purpose of the assignments. He is a REALLY tough grader (he actually took points off for underlining the words Works Cited). It's a good class if you're really into reading but if you don't have time to meet very specific standards- don't.

He expects a lot from his students, is picky about punctuation, and wants a paper to be well written. But he is there for you if you are struggling and let's you correct your paper every time you turn it in after he makes corrections. He doesn't care about page length, but he wants content and clarity.

worst professor I have ever had. Picks apart the smallest details. Cares more about punctuation and grammar than the content of the paper. His feedback is not helpful. Every mistake made in a paper he will say "refer to page ..." never flat out said how to correct a mistake. flat out did not learn a single thing from him. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS

This hybrid class was the most frustrating course I have ever taken. Dr. Hundemer only gave my section a few hours only on Mondays to have writing conferences which he relied on. I completely revised every paper without any direction. I do not have any grades (only NP) and this is the last week of class. I have no idea what my grade will be.

Very obsessed with punctuation and word choice. He cares way more about that than content which is not very useful. Never use the word GOT or GET. He lets you rewrite paper though and that is nice. The I-Search paper he had us write was awesome because we did it in steps and he edited each one.

Dr. H will rip your paper apart and pick the tiniest errors out of your writings, HOWEVER, he has truly made me a better writer. You need to put effort into his class, and if he sees that you try and participate he will reward you with extra points.

He will scare away your ego, but he will also teach you to write in different styles. Personally I liked him, even though for the first half of the quarter I thought I would fail.

He's got a terrible personality and complains about everything under the sun. If something isn't written the exact way he wants it, it's not right (which is how a lot of english teachers are, i guess). you definitely want to be on his good side. However, he does know what he is talking about, and your writing abilities will improve.

This professor was overwhelmed this quarter because of low staffing, so he seemed almost too laid back with this class. It hardly seemed like english: We ended up discussing contemporary topics more than actual english. He is extremely rude and sarcastic. He is grumpy, and the best thing to do is get on his good side. I hope to never have him again

He'll pick a part small grammatical or MLA citation errors and is really difficult grading it even when you make such small mistakes. Personally, I dislike his online course and is not a very good teacher honestly.

I took his online class. Bottom line, you have to be on top of your work. Your a college student, therefore your responsible for turning assignments on time. He allows corrections. His feedback is very helpful, it is up to you to apply it towards your work. He gives very clear examples that will assist in your writing. I would take his class again.

I feel that Dr. Hundemer is quite pretentious. He is always high on his own achievements and English superiority. He always came off as a jackass, and his writing assignments seemed to support over the top nonsense and not real support, even though he would bash articles written like this in class. If possible, avoid him.

Really enjoyed Dr. Hundemer. I took him for a summer course on-line and he was always very quick to respond to any questions that I had. He is also very generous with extensions. I learned a lot from him and my writing has definitely improved. Just pay attention to those commas!! :-)

My writing has improved drastically after taking two classes taught by Prof Hundemer. If you have any interest whatsoever in LEARNING HOW TO WRITE BETTER take this class. I know it seems crazy, but sometimes you have to take difficult classes to push yourself to become smarter.

I originally had Dr. Hundemer for English 102 in 2003. When I came back to UC six years later I saw he was still teaching and I took him again for intermediate comp. I got an A- both times. He likes to pile on the work, but he is a fair grader and I always found him helpful and quick to respond to my emails. He is a bit snarky but who cares.

Is very unclear about what is to be expected from his class, impossible to get a hold of and it seems that every e-mail I've sent him has just been a terrible bother. Kind of a jackass, honestly.

I find Dr. H to be pretentious. Up until his class and started getting C's, I always thought I was a great at English (34 on the ACT and a 4 on an Eng AP test). The first day he said how he wouldn't give out much out of class work b/c he doesn't like it. We've had something nearly every day. People like him. I don't. You might. I hope you do.
