Nice guy, but he doesnt really teach anything. He just gets in front of the class and rambles, then you have to learn the material from the book on your own. Take boudreaux if you want to learn anything in class!!

I should of taken Dr. Maxwell's class. Class (organic chem) is very hard to follow rarely used the book so hardly new what to study. Attended every classes and very loosely learned much of anything. While taking notes moves from one subject to the next before even being able to ask questions or grasp the information.

Comment:

Dr. Dawkins is one of the best professors that I have ever had at any level. I noticed that some reviewers thought that he would digress from the subject, but I believe that he would only do that when he could see that a large portion of the class was near overload. He is kind, extremely knowledgeable, and always willing to answer any question.

I dont care what anyone says! Ross Dawkins is an incredible teacher. While he does go off on what seem to be tangents at times, they really most of the time apply if you pay attention. His class is not impossible, but you will have to put in some effort. But I can say that I truly enjoyed his class. TAKE HIM! p.s. He's a GENIUS.

Took him for lab, very good with lab. Always explains the lab before you do it and helps you out in any way he can!! Take him! I am taking him for Lab and Lecture for Chem 1412~!! I will let you know how it goes! I am sure it will go FABULOUS!!! You will learn a lot of things from him as well!

He has a very bad tendency to get lost in tangents and various things- but they're always interesting. he is very smart and you will never be board. However if you are wanting to actually learn SOMETHING about the subject, you might consider taking someone else, only because he does get off subject alot, and might not learn as much as some like.

I just had him for a lab, but he is an awesome guy. He would just talk about random things during class...really interesting. Smart guy...knows a lot about a lot of things. Graded easy too.
