You can tell she has a lot of passion for what she's teaching, and she's very quick to respond to emails. Make sure to pay attention in class, take good notes, and you'll do well on the exams. Don't be intimidated by long answer questions. She's a great professor, and she's hilarious in class. Straight talker. WOULD RECOMMEND!!!

Comment:

Dr. Finerman was one of my favorite professors at University of Memphis. She is so passionate about teaching and is very caring to her students. Tests and activities are easy and you will learn so much from her as long as you show up to class. She is also very considerate in helping students catch up on missed lectures or absences.

Amazing professor! She knows her stuff and she does anything she can to help you learn it. You don't get an A just for being there, but it isn't outrageously hard. I would recommend her for anything.

Dr. Finerman is fun. She may come across as intimidating at first but she is really not a bad teacher. She asks for a lot from her students but it is all in hopes that you leave the class and the dept with the experience needed to get ahead on your career.She also brought in snacks for everyone!Tests not easy.You need to come to class and study!

I loved her class. Her tests made you think but she had lots of stories to tell and she knew her material. You have to love cultural anth when you leave her class. She has lots of great "Visuals" to show you. I loved the darts! Shes exciting and enthusiastic.
