Comment:

Highly unorganized and the teacher literally asks and changes upcoming due dates multiple times throughout the day. He shows up 10 minutes late to class everyday and during the entire lecture we essentially listen to him talk about random subjects with occasional jokes. About 2/3rds of the class stopped showing up/dropped within 4 weeks, seriously.

You better be good at English, he doesn't really teach in class. He is easy to reach outside of class by e-mail. E-mail him your essay before its due for a better grade. Buy the textbooks, you will need them. A lot of essays. Extra credit was available to do at the end of the semester. He has a dad sense of humor, and he is very chill.

As a person he is awesome. He generally cares about people and can be comical. He has a tendency to be late but is totally understanding if you are. If you struggle with writing then I would not take this class, I doubt you would learn how to write from him. He grades super tough. He will drop you if you reach 8 hours of being absent.

The only way you will really fail his class is by not caring at all. At first I thought he was a tough grader but by the end of the semester I got a B. He's a really nice person and will stay after class with anyone that needs extra help or clarity. He tends to ramble but only because he teaches longer than usual classes.

SUPER hard grader. He gives the same grade over and over again no matter how hard you try. You can't change his mind about you. I personally thought his grading style was very unfair. Definitely choose another teacher if you have the choice. If not i'd stay away from him for the sake of your GPA

He was boring. He never actually taught anything. And considering all he does is talk the whole class and not about english, he grades a little on the tougher side. Attendance is mandatory. So I got up every morning and drove to class to literally kill two hours. I suggest avoiding if you can.

Awesome teacher. I really enjoyed the class. Try hard and write more than page limit required and you will get an A. He is a great teacher and he will stay after class to help as much as possible. I highly recommend this class.

Comment:

Great teacher! Very clear on what he wants. Write more than page limit required. If he says write 5 pages write 6 and you will get an A. I got an A in the class, it was not easy but i learned a lot. He is extremely helpful and will stay after class to answer questions. I recommend this class.

Needs to find another dayjob, by far the crappiest teacher I have ever had. In a 4hour summer class he rambles on about his life for 2hours than makes you watch a non related video for the rest of the time. Doesn't teach grammer, writing, structure. A complete waste of time. Do not take this class if you want to learn or be inspired. Quit teaching.

Mr. Stanfield is very unorganized. Students are unable to follow their progress in the class because class work and essays are not graded and returned. Mr. Stanfield is easily distracted, spends most class time off topic.

I took his English 1A class. He takes forever to give papers back. We got our midterm back on the day of the final. We never got our last 2 papers back. Its been almost a week and we still don't have our final grades. He's very nice, but he gives more priority to the other school he teaches at. Don't take his class if you want to actually learn.

I hate to say this because he's a super nice, chill guy. However, he's a terrible teacher. He tries to help, but he only ends up hindering our progress. He is ridiculously hard to understand. He has major communication problems. If you want to learn, don't take his class. If you want an easy class, take his.

He's awesome! Definitely take his class, he's funny and really laid back. He is a hard grader, but if you put in effort you should be fine. He's also very willing to help and answer any questions you might have. Overall, I really liked his class!

yea, he's easy. yea he's SUPER laid back. BUT you'll NEVER get out of class early, you'll NEVER know your grade until you get your final grade. and he LAGS on grading papers. the class is overall easy, (3 papers + in class final) BUT he is a HARD grader. take another professor. and he is kinda funny. attendance is mandatory or he'll take off points

Hardest English teacher I've ever had. Uses the text book a lot. Is not clear from what he expects you to write in the essays. Try hard and you'll get a c or maybe b he said he doesn't give out a's because he doesnt get perfect papers...good luck you'll need it.
