Kooky & funny. Easy A if you just hand in assignments; doesn't have to be gold, but appreciates if a student can actually write in English class. Short story or poem every other class (plus one page, double spaced, easy response on anything related to text). 3 easy testsno quizzes. Simple discussion-based class. If you try, she will reward with A.

Sandy is hands down one of my top five most favorite professors! She is fun, easy going, and all around AWESOME! Any one who said other wise clearly did not take her class seriously. You do not have to be a goody goody to do well in her class, you just need to be an adult. For those of you who hate English classes, take hers! You won't be sorry!

She's a great teacher! She cares about her students :)This is a class where you have to be there every single day... but its a fun class. Showing up is all the experience with her. She assigns a lot of small writing assignments but they are usually about yourself of interesting topics. She is a hard grader and she like her syllabus a lot!

Thanks to Sandy I am now an Honors student. She's tough, demands the best you've got, and won't tolerate fools or excuses. She is also funny, fair, energetic, intelligent, & respects hard work. Loved her classes, assignments & the great discussions we had in class. You *can* disagree with her, just back up your opinions with quotes from the text.

I didnt like English before i had Sandy Camillo, and after i had Sandy Camillo I HATE ENGLISH, she judges right from the start and for those who disagree you have that right but you were probably one of the goody goodies. she couldnt answer any of my questions and she would would constantly make fun of people who didnt understand something.

I liked this teacher a lot. She is clear from what she wants of her class on day one. She does have certain pet peeves and will not be shy of telling you that your wrong. Overall, she made the class enjoyable and we always were let out 20-30 minutes early. She isn't too hard and very fair.

It's been a few years, but Short Story was one of the best classes I took at FLCC, so I remember it pretty well. The course was both entertaining and interesting. The material was well chosen. Grading was very fair. I very much enjoyed the teaching style, and remember details from lectures years later. I highly recommend this professor.
