First off, just to be clear, Barker does not teach acting, she teaches acting theory. Technically she teaches the 270 class for Theatre majors, but you can still take from the other professor as a major and that's what I'd suggest. She tries to teach acting from a book. Concepts were unclear and the blackboard situation was a mess. Cant recommend.

Good teacher, she's passionate about what she does. She gives quizzes, so make sure you read the textbook. Most of the class is spent with the TAs in the "breakout groups" it depends what TA you get, but if you show effort, you'll do fine in the class.

You better be ready to work - she is not interested in excuses for missing classes or turning in late work. She is not a very warm person but will help you somewhat if you seek her out.

movement class. this teacher is hard. if she likes you, you will be fine. she failed me because of tardies. don't ever disagree with her she will make your life hell. the only person in the department who likes her is the department head.
