Doc Wright is as fair with his students as one could expect. He gave every opportunity he could and more to those that had an interst in doing well in his class. Be responsible, do the cengage work, complete assignments and study the content and you will do fine. Its not a gimme grade, you have to work for it.

Hardest class I've ever taken. I'm a staight-A honors student. Long written projects, has no clarity in what you're supposed to be doing, expects vast amounts of research(6page bib) in no time, and then expects perfection in your writing. For tests memorize every term in the chapters and study your homework and cengage, then you may pass.

I have never made a C in my life, this will be the first. His tests consist of T or F TRICK questions. They are not good at assessing your knowledge. He assigns homework/projects that could take days on the same week of test and finals. The project/hw he assigns have NOTHING to do with the course. He talked about politics and spent no time teaching

DON'T TAKE HIM! He loves to talk about himself and never stays on topic. I learned absolutely nothing in his class. His tests are hard too, probably because he doesn't teach us any of the information, you have to read every word of the textbook. Stay. Away.

i'm a deans list student and cannot understand anything. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. i have learned hardly anything from him, just from the txtbook. his "homework" is thousands of words and 10+ pages. worst class EVER

Attended every single class. EXTREME amount of online work. Tests are very difficult... during class he tells stories.. that will not help on the tests. Memorize the book if you want a good grade. Oh... and out of the five emails sent all semester.. not one has been answered.

I really don't know why everyone is saying he is hard. To me he was really easy. I had the class T/TR and i only went on thursdays (some times i would skip a whole week) and i still came out with a high B. I received As and Bs on the tests/finals/hw. As long as you read the book and understand the concept you should be good

I had this class as a mon/wed/fri class. i missed one day the whole semester and still am failing. the tests are impossible and the stuff he goes over in class in interesting but does not have to do with what is on the test. I went into his office many times and he told me there was nothing he could do to help me with the tests.

He talks about everything else other than the information that is needed to be discussed. He attempts to talk about the topics of the book, but during his lecture his needed to talk about current events or study tactics gets in the way. So unless you are great at reading a textbook and teaching yourself, DO NOT take his class.

He is impossible. DO NOT TAKE HIM. You have to read an ungodly amount. He makes the tests extremely difficult. I emailed him about 10 times throughout the semester through both emails and never got a response. Horrible class.

Clearly, the people that complain about him are part of the half of the class that hardly ever attend or are pure slackers who want an A handed to them. He uses a whole class to teach you how to study for his tests and he grades on a curve. He is more than fair and offers extra credit during the first week for those who will take advantage of it.

Preaches to you about information that is not useful to the class or tests. Tests are very hard, studied for them like I would have a final and never got better than a C even after a curve. Take him if you want to become a lawyer, not for a mandatory business class that he has placed upon himself to try and weed out business majors.

Dr. Wright certainly isn't the easiest teacher, but I guarantee that you WILL learn something. Tests are hard, but it is possible to ace them if you study. He is extremely helpful if you go to his office, grades on a curve, and online assignments weigh almost as much as the 3 tests. You will have to read the book, but it's Law, what do you expect?

His tests certainly arent easy, and nothing he talks about in class is on them. But he grades on a curve and the simple online assignments weigh as much as tests do. Attendance isnt mandatory but recommended. He's a little difficult, but if you can stand hearing about China every class lecture... take him.

An awesome professor.Go to class it helps and he gives extra pts on the days that most people are absent such as FRIDAY! He teaches you how to relate his info to the real world. Not a class for people who want to be given an A but for those who give a little effort its very achievable. People who complain about him are clearly lazy and slackers!

Comment:

I took his Bus Law class in 2003 or 04. He is very knowledgable and interesting and one of my favorites. Text reading and lecture note taking are mandatory for doing well on tests. I went through that text religiously with a highlighter and treated his lectures like they were scripture to live by. It all proved not to be work borne out of paranoia.
