Got a great grade, but it left me ill-prepared for the 4th-year mandatory stats course. Super-repetitive and focussed on the basic concepts that didn't need repeating. Asked us where he left off at the beginning of almost every class. More focus on software training would have helped; I work with stats now and this course did not prepare me.

Although, I can't say im a fun of statistics, and it was a required course for me i understood the material because the prof was good at his job. I was never as bored as i thought i would be every class. since it was my first and hopefully last stats class i can honestly say I understand stats now.

Thank God I took his class thsi summer. He teaches straight from the textbook, practically gives away the exam the class before and makes things very clear as to what is important and not...I haven't been graded yet but I'm pretty sure I will get at least a B. And I have absolutly no background in Math!!

Horrible class. Take another prof if you can - he is possibly the most boring prof i've ever had. He repeats everything and most of his lectures consist of things he did in his own life. If you go to class you'll just fall asleep - so just drop the course and wait for another prof or teach yourself the entire course. His exams are insane too

Teaches as though he believes none of his students have any background knowledge, which is probably a good thing for intro methods. But he sure wastes a lot of time on anecdotes that lead to nowhere. He knows a ton, probably just teaches intro methods to pad his wage because he sleeps through it.

Great Prof! He makes things really easy to understand and he tells you exactly what he expects us to do. I didn't find his lectures boring, and he'd let us off early most of the time!

Steven should be a kindergarten teacher. He goes over the material so slowly; I never made it through an entire class and ended up teaching myself the entire course b/c I felt like a child. The guy is all over the place. Easy course for being mandatory. Warning: Don't attempt the LONG assignments the night before... or two, you won't finish them!!!

The best prof you can have if stats is 'not your thing'. If you can't pass stats with him there is no hope as he really does spell everything out for you.

Bit of 80's style/... but that's ok. Sure he repeats him self but thats better than having a lab every class!! He spells it out, but thats better than needing a calculator in an exam!!

His class is extremely boring and he is really repetitive. In case you forgot what the mean, median and mode were from grade 6, he'll spend two full lectures on it. Avoid this class if you can

He is a very friendly guy and loves to talk about his academia;a lot. It seems like he wants everyone in Sociology to become a researcher and work for Stats Canada. Classes are easy and he lectures straight from the text but very repetitive.
