Comment:

Schreier was the best teacher I've had to date at U of M. Waited a year just because her class wasn't available my first year. Definitely would recommend this professor. She is fair, she's funny, she cares, and she makes things very clear and simple. Loved her class.

Comment:

If you ever see Dr. Schreirer come up as an option for any class you may be interested in, you quite simply must take her. Trust me. Psych 120 was very interesting and grading was extremely easy. She is very very very considerate and comes prepared to every class. Attendance is not mandatory and workload is minimal.

Shelly is a great lecturer and very passionate about Psychology. She is very enthusiastic about the topics. The lecture is 2 hours long and was very very hard to sit through (the topics I found to be quite boring despite her frequent videos and enthusiasm). The exams were easy if you can memorize.

Take a (nY) class with Dr. Schreier before you graduate! SO nice, caring, fun! Psych 120 was so enjoyable! A lot of reading in 120 but books are great and course generally needs you to have just general knowledge of plot of the books so you can contribute. Dr. Schreier is the BEST

Comment:

She is one of the best Professors at Michigan! She makes lectures so interesting and fun. Attendance is not mandatory but definitely should go because exams are example heavy. She wants her students to do well and is willing to meet and help in any way possible! LOVE LOVE HER!

Schreier is the most kind-hearted professor I've encountered. Her class is incredibly interesting and an easy A if you put in any sort of work before exams. The class is based out of 300 total points, but 15 points of extra credit are offered (five percent extra credit added onto your grade). Her GSI team is great as well. It's a no brainer: 10/10.

Took her class last spring term and just realized I never rated her. SHE IS THE BEST INSTRUCTOR I'VE EVER HAD!!!!! Her lectures are extremely inspiring, and she really cares for her students. (Check her speech at the Golden Apple Award and you'll love her)

Professor Schreier literally changed my life and made me change to a Psych major. She is so kind, hilarious, and her passion for the subject is infectious. Her class is not easy, and you will have to work for your grade, but it will be so gratifying and will make you better as a student and person. Take her at any chance you can.

Even though I wasn't a huge fan of psych, she makes the class pretty interesting. She always gives examples for abstract psych concepts which really helps. Essays are actually really straightforward. Exams are a lot of material, but it's material gone over in lecture - no unfair surprises. Put in the work, and she'll help save your GPA, great prof

Amazing professor. You can really tell she enjoys teaching and hopes all her students do well. The exams are really easy if you do the readings, literally copy and paste from the notes and readings. Ball of energy, especially at 10am ;)

Honestly a gem. She really cares for you as a person, beyond just grades. Lectures are long 2 hours but she shows many fun videos and tells lots of stories to make it more engaging. Exams test many details but are fair and if you review your exam paper with her, she may give you credit if she feels your answer deserved it.

Only Dr. Schreier could get through 60-80 slides in one day. She talks quickly and is VERY eccentric. Frequent videos and supporting material. Readings are pretty long, but she covers most of the material in class. She is SUPER approachable and is very intelligent. The tests are long, and they are EXTENSIVE. Don't take Psych111 w/o Schreier!

Shelly Schreier is so fun I feel really happy for her children. She not only taught material that made me feel somehow prepared to be a parent, but also taught information that it is vital that we understand in order to illicit social change. Make sure you know the reading materials for the tests as well as the papers, because it comes up!

Her lectures are very engaging and fun. It's a shame that I always fell asleep in the crowded and hot MLB auditorium :( Also I have goldfish memory so this class was kinda challenging for me.

Dr. Schreier is definitely one of the best professors at Michigan. She truly cares about her students and makes it a point to express it during lectures. Her lectures are fun and interactive and the videos she shows are relevant and funny. I would not take Psych 111 with anyone but Schreier. She is awesome!

Good content, very interesting and captivating info, but exams were a little tricky. I knew the information, but because there were so many terms, I would find myself at a loss trying to remember a certain word during an exam. I knew the concept, I could see it on the lecture slide, I remembered studying it, it just would not come to surface.

Dr. Schreier is one of the best professors I've ever had at UMich. I would definitely recommend taking this class with her to knock out some Social Science distribution credits.
