Comment:

Very caring & can tell he knows what hes doing. Is there when you need help or have questions and very good at explaining instructions. Have a fee quizzes but he gives u practice sheets before. He wants students to pass and do there best work. A few essays but he explains how to do and gives u a packet to help with essay. I suggest! Very caring!!

I didn't enjoy him in English 50 because it was way to easy and boring, but he approved me to move up to English 1180. So, I took him for 1180 and 1190. Yes, he can get pretty boring, but he is an amazing professor and you can tell he is great at what he does.I got an A- and B in his class. Highly recommend!

He will give you honest feedback, and will tell you what exactly is expecting on each essay. you will learn a lot and good useful stuff. 6-7 essay, a few quizzes but very reasonable. He follows his syllabus so check the due dates, or ask him if seem a little confuse. He cares for his students so ask for help he will answer and will try to help you

Comment:

Our class started later than the norm, so everything was basically crammed. Lots of essays, some grammar tests not many, and not hard tests at all. Going to class everyday is EXTREMELY helpful and will help you pass the class. Explains essays extremely well and will answer any questions you have. A lot of peer reviewing and working with others.

There were a lot of essays. My class was only 12 weeks long and we wrote 6-7 papers. But he gives honest feedback and his grading process makes it easy to get an A. Awesome lectures and we almost always left class early as long as we didn't have questions.

Nice guy but his lectures go on for hours. Literally. Don't really use the textbooks so don't waste the $200, just ask someone to take a photo of their book. Gives good feedback on essays and is a fair grader. You'll definitely fall behind if you're not there due to ALL of his essays. It's easy to get confused. Usually let's you out early.

Professor Marcincavage is really nice and is there to help when needed. However, He is a very boring teacher and tries to be funny. I asked him a question and I just wanted a yes or no answer, but he went into this huge elaborate thing. He goes into way to much detail. If you are confused on a paper and he gives you good feedback.

This professor really knows his material. If you are paying attention, you can learn a lot. He's actually really funny too. You just have to be paying attention to catch most of it. Likes to get in and get the work done so that everyone can get out early too. At least that's the way it was on Friday night classes. Excellent professor!!

Organized, always helped me, The Strategies for Successful Writing and Basic Grammer and Usage were used for our class. We did use the SSW occasionally but I would recommended just asking someone if you can copy the stories in the library. For the 10/15c it costs you are better off just doing that. BG is a YES. Quizzes and tests are based on that.

Comment:

He always has engaging lectures and is always availible to help students before class, after class, and via email. The only problem I had with him was that on a few occasions his explanations were not very clear, but if you still didn't understand what he said, he was more than willing to put in the time to help you individually. Great prof.
