He taught my independent study, and was great. He gave helpful and specific feedback and guidance, and was great about helping with technical photo stuff (once he looked through a file and whipped out a handout for me on some obscure procedure). He's easy to get along with and his class was a joy.

steve is too great for words. he is one of those people who is meant to teach. an amazing mentor, steve is really a person to look up to. he is honest yet kind and so real. photo became so much fuller of an expression to me after i took his courses. he will inspire you on such a personal level-it stays with you.

He is extremely helpful and availble to his students. He didn't seem to mind rerating things over and over to me....the class was more time consuming than I imagined. I left the semester with a ton of knowledge, that I am still using.
