Amazing lecturer; beautiful eyes. Sit at the front. If you can write grammatical sentences that aren't stupid, you'll do very well in his class. Btw, Dr. Want will be teaching at Ryerson in September (and dating Miss Universe).

I'm indifferent about him. Course work interesting, had difficulty teaching, need more confidence, but who can blame him, he's not coming back anyways.

Although he's missed alot of classes, he's still a great prof who explains everything clearly. His exams are all essays, but if you go to lectures, go over his notes, understand everything, the exams are a piece of cake.

first off, kudos to how he handled all the questions and comments from a certain, cocky loud-mouth wannabe know-it-all... he had a way of saying, "hey, look stupid..." in a calm and intelligent manner. clear notes, no text (which made the workload a LOT lighter), and pretty intersting material.

Comment:
Dull, repetitive lectures, no textbook (so therefore no alternative to his take), brutally hard and rigid marking standards (huge disparity in grades between what he marks and what the TA marks), and he cancelled almost a month's worth of classes. Plus only 1 single office hour! I say avoid!

I wanna be his friend... He seems like he'd be the single coolest prof/person to hang out with at UBC. Classes can be as hard as boxing blindfolded, but I'm sure if you really work at it you can do well. I totally agree w/the last person. Why wont UBC bring him back!? Pathetic UBC. Truly pathetic.

Both courses were very well taught. Excellent prof, super nice, among the best. What I don't get is why he has to go job hunting, why UBC wouldn't offer him a job for next year. First they increase tuition by 30%, now this? What next, would we have to pay to use the friggen washroom?!!!

VERY hard marker, extremely low class average. skipped several classes (9 this term, so far!) so was not available for help. Relatively helpful guy when you see him outside of class, although there is always a huge line to see him so be prepared to wait. Pretty clear in his lectures - all slides.

He is an extremely nice prof. His lectures were interesting and enjoyable, and they contained much more relevant information than the text. This prof also gave very fair exams. It is easy to do well in this class if you attend all the lectures and take notes. I loved his British accent!

Extremely enjoyable class and prof. Tests were fairly difficult. I will definitely take another class of his both for his teaching style and him. I think I was a bit distracted by him, if you are a sucker for cute british guys maybe it is not the best class to take. However, really no downfall
