Dr. Claxton didnt give our class a midterm grade and didnt grade my very first paper until October 31. i had no idea how i was doing in the class. He is a very nice and approachable person, but in order for help on your papers you need to do your own research on your own time.

Dr. Claxton is the best!! I took him for English 101 & 102. I made A's in both. He's such a caring and sweet guy! Just listen and follow what he says and you'll do fine! No tests, just papers but not long in length requirement though. I'd definitely take him again if I could!! Oh, and almost every day you have class, you get out early. Take him!!

He might not seem like it but he is a cool guy, works the occasional joke in there. He does let you go early a lot of times. He has you write pretty short papers, and he doesn't require you to read a whole lot. He has no "real" tests quizzes so as long as you go to class you will do just fine.

Loved Claxon's class. Least time consuming class taken this semester. Multiple papers due, but not a strict grader if your paper follows his guidelines. Very willing to help and allows revisions. I recommend taking his class. Very nice guy. I'm already signed up to take English 102 with him.

okay for everyone who needs to take an english above 200 for their gen eds this is the class to take with claxon! seems like a lot of work at first but it really isn't! he breaks down all the reading on a class by class basis and gives easy quizzes and even easier tests!! do yourself a favor and take him! he cares about your grade as well!!

Really easy class and he's in awesome professor! You right a lot of papers in the class but he tells you what needs to be fixed on it and as long as you go back and make changes according to what he wants changed or added you will definitely get a good grade on your portfolio for the class. He really helps you on anything you need help with!!!

He's a horrible teacher and is always unprepared. He gives a lot of group work, aka busy work and never does anything himself. He's a big believer in foreign literature. If you want an easy grade, take him, but otherwise, you will learn absolutely nothing.

He showed up late every day, class is boring and you dont learn anything, he gives useless homework. Yes he's a nice man but come on, he's not very good at teaching. The only thing i like was the fact that his paper outlines were specific, easy to follow, and extensive. This made his papers easier to do, while also recieving an o.k. grade.

DR. CLAXON WAS A EASY PROFESSOR. DID ABSOLUTLY NOTHING IN CLASS. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN. I WOULD TAKE HIM AGAIN BECAUSE HE WAS SO EASY. VERY CLEAR ABOUT ASSIGNMENTS AND USUALLY PUSHES DUE DATES BACK. Claxon is ok. Not hard. Not neccessarily easy. He grades off pure effort really. If your doing bad at the end... do the extra credit he gives you.. its not much but if you do it.. he will bump you up a letter grade for the effort.
