It is amusing to see other comments about sucking up earning you an "A". Dr. Shiflet makes you work to earn your grades. Those that others have called "suck-ups" are mistaking hard work and a willingness to interact for brown-nosing. Show up for class, do the work, and you will learn more about yourself and the subject than you think possible.

I have taken more than one class with Stone. She is a GREAT professor. If I could take her for everything I needed, I would. What she wants may seem a little unclear at first, but it's because she wants us to learn on our own in a real business like setting. She was fun, energetic and had no problem helping if we needed it.

Stone is a really neat teacher: unlike anyone I have ever had before. It takes some time to get used to her style because she is so flexible. I really enjoyed her class and I feel like I have learned alot. I like the fact that she notices what each person can bring to the table and therefore benefit the class.

SHE IS A GREAT TEACHER!! VERY UNDERSTANDING AND SHE TELLS YOU EXACTLY WHAT SHE WANTS FROM YOU. SHE DOESNT TAKE ANY BS, BUT SHE IS VERY HELPFUL. YOU HAVE TO DO THE READING OR YOU WILL BE LOST! I WOULD TOTALLY RECOMMEND HER!!

Interesting teacher and very knowledgeable but she tends to ramble and go into extraordinary detail. If you enjoy that, you will like this class. But if you don't like detail and being challenged you will get bored. She does not play favorites and she's very passionate about her subject. I recommend her class.

Absolutely fantastic instructor. And, contrary to what the reviewer below says, mature students *will* appreciate her -- as long as they are competent. If you're unsure about something, Dr. Shiflet is always available via email, etc. and she's always been happy to explain something in more detail. You will learn a lot from her and this class.

AMAZING!1st few days I felt so disoriented & over my head, but that's just her method of teaching.She'll take u out of ur element & force u 2 create ur own ideas.Get past the 1st few days & u will learn & grow a LOT. Excellent professor! I really like the way she engages the students. She is very upbeat. You won't be bored, but if you fall asleep once in class, you'll never do it again because she will embarras you. Excellent teacher and very smart.
