Comment:

Professor Bucher is possibly one of the sweetest professors I have ever met. She genuinely cares about education. Tests & Quizzes were super easy. Try & take her class with an SI coach, it helped me A LOT. HW isn't too much, you just have to stay on top of yourself with it. I don't recommend taking the class if you don't want a career in education.

Comment:

Shes a cool person, but the class itself is so hard. I took it twice. Dropped the first time and got a D the second time. I got 1 bad grade on a test and my grade dropped from a B to a D. Shes a very tough grader and expects way too much from her students. The grade weighting is way too unforgiving. Very little chance to bring up a bad grade.

Details are everything. A math class that isn't quite straightforward. Should be an easy class, but she made it so unnecessarily difficult. She is a tough grader, and you have to do it her way. And she doesn't tell you what she is collecting so you have to stress about prioritizing your school work load. Every point counts in this class.

Comment:

One of the toughest professors at El Camino. Her teaching style and voice is what throws me off the most, but she's always there to help you after class or during her office hours. Definitely passable, but if you can take someone else then do yourself the favor.

If I can take Professor Bucher for the rest of my math journey, I will. She gives us packets that we do in class for each chapter and goes through the material step by step. Also gives out a study guide and will answer questions on the study guide! I'm the worst at math, but she honestly gave me hope and I feel more confident towards math.

I've taken Ms. Bucher a few times. She is very thorough very specific step-by-step and actually cares that you understand it, doesn't mind answering as many questions as you have I would take her again.

She's a good professor and goes over a lot of material in each class session. It was never too much for me to handle since I thought the material was SUPER easy, but regardless of the level of difficulty she is very helpful. If you have a question she responds to emails super quickly.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU ARE TERRIBLE AT MATH! Any little mistake you make will be points taken off, and it is hard to even get a C on her quizzes and tests! There are quizzes and tests every other week and there's also a pointless project that is only 6% of your grade. No matter how much you study, you won't get the grade you want.

This is my second time taking professor Bucher and she's such an amazing professor. I learned to love Math because of her, she makes it simple and not complex at all. The workload may seem heavy but it's manageable. If you have any questions or need help she's always there for you during office hours. Best math professor at El Camino!

Ms. Bucher is very helpful, caring, and knows the topics well. It's a lot of work but if you take notes and do the homework, you can do well on the tests. She assigns homework every class but she doesn't collect it all. There were 5 short writing reflections, 4 quizzes, 2 exams, and a big project. This class is really helpful for future teachers.

This professor is amazing for math! If you want to learn something she is the math professor. I truly wish she taught the higher math because shes that good. If you give effort in her class she will definitely see it and pass you. Just keep trying and you will be well off.

Professor Bucher is an amazing professor. If you ever have a difficult time trying to solve a problem she will guide and help you throughout the process. She's also very understanding of your personal life but will not give you special treatment. Some lectures might be a bit confusing but she will help you during office hours. Would take again!

She's honestly very easy to talk to. Will always be there if you have questions about anything. Homework can be a lot sometimes but can either make or break your grade so do it!! Tests aren't hard but shes a tough grader so be careful with how you answer some questions. 4 small essays (1-2 pages). One project you can do alone or with someone else

Great Prof! Makes math really fun for her students and gives great teaching tips. She is very specific though when grading your tests. If it isn't exactly what she wants she will take points off. But, she helps you understand the material very well.

Professor Bucher is absolutely amazing! I have never felt more comfortable to ask questions and get clarification. She's extremely helpful and very kind. The only thing is all the homework is online which makes it that much easier to not do it so I suggest you try your best to keep up with the homework.

Pretty hard grader. She gives a lot of homework assignments that's she don't even collects. on her exams she grades hard doesn't even give you credit for trying. I failed her class so I had to retake it but with a different teacher. She cool outside of her office other than that be prepare to take hard exams.

She was very helpful, informal and she knew her work. She is perfect in math but only if you really understand math already. If math is your weakness I wouldn't suggest taking her. She is a tough grader on mistake and you don't get full credit. She assigns hw and class work that she rarely collects which is annoying. I would never yaks about class with her. But she is a good teacher and knows her work/material
