Where to start? Lectures are so boring and hard to understand. Sounds like she smoked 2 packs a day for 30 years. Problem sets and tests only slightly related to class material. But she curves everything to a B so its not too hard to do decent if you don't understand much.

Never choose her ECN 521 which is Economic Statistics. It's pure Mathematics class. None Econ stuff so far! Very boring teaching. She spents the whole class to talk about the concepts that are either very easy or very abstract, and her homework and exams always go beyond her lectures. Moreover, she doesn't do keys for practice exams.

Never take her 505, she never made her points in class. Gives problem sets that have concepts that never taught in class. Class is useless, talk useless and easy stuff for 1 hour and important but hard stuff in the last mins. And I dont like her voice.

Very interesting course. One of my favorite ECN electives! Was able to use macroeconomic concepts to identify gender discrimination. Fun in-class discussions (debates) too!

Gender & Economics - very interesting class. Presents various economic model concepts with balanced point of view. Text supplemented by e-Journal articles. She clearly presents content in lectures; very willing to answer questions. Professor EXTREMELY accessible; fair with grades. Strongly encourages student input & different points of view.

Lecture speed is fast, but Gensemer clearly walks through content. Course is rigorous; students are assumed to have basic algebra and calculus. Professor extremely fair with grading and exams. Gensemer extremely accessible and very willing to help and will answer questions in class. She is extremely fair, but be prepared to do the work.

She talks way too fast that you don't have enough time to even think or follow what she's saying. She expects you to understand right off the bat. The average test grades are C's and D's. I would say run for the hills when you take this class. You're better off.

She is the hardest professor ever. She talks so fast in her lectures that you can barely get one thing before she's onto another. She asks if people have questions but waits only half a second, if even, before she moves on. Asking her questions will only get you vague answers. Class averages on hw are 50's and 60's. exams are 70's and 60's.

Ok, so I was one of the few WSP majors in her Econ and Gender class about 2 years back...and I surely didn't notice it at the time, but after reading everyone else's comments, it has struck me...she DOES hate men! I guess I was blinded by my own women's studies perspective, and lesbian-centric hatred for men, and it didn't even cross my mind. But that would explain why she was so especially understanding with me....hah! Who knew, I was recieving the **** special treatment! Sorry men, sucks for you.
