By far the Best Professor I have had at SDSU. He gave us 2 exams, 1 project, 2 quizes. He treats you like an adult, yet understands any life situations you might go through. Provides CLEAR outlines for exams. If you are able to take him, TAKE HIM. I have learned a lot in his class, and got a good grade

The tests are really difficult. There are not many questions on tests so if you miss a few you are screwed. If your considering taking for FIN elective don't. The course will probably have a negative effect on your GPA

He is the best. All you need is to capture 10% of his lecture and you will be in track understanding Investments. Exams are little tricky but he will give almost same or similar questions from sample exams or exam review. Just take him.

Comment:

One of the best profs ever! Class was always interesting even though I knew almost all the stuff that was covered before... Swami always tells real-life wall street stories and explains how things work in practice. I don't think anybody else can give these insights into wall street!

He doesn't use a book which sucks because his notes and lectures are all over the place. He's very nice and smart but has a strong accent to me. I did bad on the exams and didnt turn in my final project. I thought i was gonna have to take this class over but i ended up with a C i dont even know how lol biiiig curve. Take Him!!!

Professor Badrinath is by far one of the most interesting and knowledgeable professors I had the pleasure of meeting. He uses real time events to teach you the material and is always looking for ways to improve the course. I had the pleasure of having him as my professor for both 327 and 427 and I can assure you I learned a lot from him. A+ prof!

Best teacher you could ask for. Gives you everything you need, and while his tests are difficult, he gives no surprises and tells you exactly what they will cover. This professor is on of a kind and if you truly do care for finance, you will come out with an A or B. Just go to class and take this class seriously. Finance isn't meant to be an easy A

FIN327: His lectures are very interesting and I like that he talks about current events. Unfortunately his exams are HARD. The questions are confusing and highly conceptual. He is fair though, and I believe there was a curve at the end.

This professor is great! I strongly reccomment! 2 tests, 2 quizzes. No homework. Tests are tricky but he is a generous grader. Alot of talk about current issues and you will really learn alot by taking this.

Class=Derivatives=Like how he brought to life concepts by pulling up quotes on internet. When he explains concepts though...tended to be scatterbrained..like his mind was 10 steps ahead of what was coming out of his mouth. Whole grade in class was based on 2-6 question tests and 2-2 question quizzes....that was dumb.Got a C cuz I missed 4 questions

Prof Swami is an awesome professor! I enjoyed going to all of his classes. His class discussion are interesting and useful in the real world. His test/quizzes (2 tests, 2 quizzes) are pretty easy if you study. Just study his notes he gives out. I rarely used the book, only used it for clarification on certain terms/topics. I got a B+ in the class.

I majored in FInance prior to this class,and NEVER had a Prof as clear as Prof.Badri. He is energetic, and a strange messiah for finance, despite displaying its flaws clearly.Tests are hard, notes have mistakes sumtimes.But tries to teach finance from a real-life perspective which makes a TERRIFIC difference.He Enjoys teaching,and its not for money

"Get Angry!!" haha! Swami is a really cool guy, u will learn a lot of real life stuff u can actually use, not just formulas. 3 tests, no hw, pretty nice curve too! tests can be a little tricky though, so expect anything

An asset to SDSU. Take his class and be ready for a very educational experience. There is no book for this class, all the material is from his lecture notes. His office hours are a great tool to use in getting more clarification on any subjects, even if he does no teach them. Take his class and you will love it and get a good grade.

Great professor! Passionate on every lecture. You will learn a lot of useful knowledge from his class. Really helpful during office hour. All the test are multiple choices, although a little bit tricky. Anyway, highly recommended!

Comment:

Swami is cool, but not that good of a prof. Class was not taught from perspective of finance, but rather, investments THEORY which does little to help on CFP exam (but helpful for real world). Somewhat disorganized-hard to follow. Some exam questions seem to come from out of the blue (and I never missed a class).
