Taking this class online and there are tons of assignments, however they are pretty easy and basic if you read. But he literally finds the smallest things to mark you down in the discussion boards! It is so frustrating! Discussion Boards are literally the easiest assignments for me, yet he grades so harshly and is super picky on them!

Comment:

Be prepared to put in time and effort. There are tons of assignments, quizzes and tests - which is nice that to have extra credit in case you miss an assignment. The myconlab site is easy to use and the text comes with videos and other helpful resources. Teacher is helpful and responsive.

Very clear syllabus, clear grading criteria, and a predictable course progression. Compared to other online classes I've taken, he is much more responsive to correspondence. There was a massive amount of extra credit offered, and there isn't any reason you shouldn't get an A if you take this class. Multiple choice tests, one paper, and discussions.

I would not take his online class he isn't helpful, super tough grader will find anything to knock down points. I really confused on why his score is so high. I am a straight A student and this is one of the worst professors I have ever had.

The "Conspiracy" research made this class fun. Lots of extra credit opportunities. The only bad thing to say is near the end of the semester he doubles up a few chapters which makes it a lot more time consuming.

Economics Is already boring enough full of graphs, But this teacher makes the class go by. he is a good teacher and covers all material. He gives extra credit and attendance is manadory.Buy the text book and study guide combo. Do your reading and HW and extra credit and you will do fine!

Comment:

One of the best teachers you will ever get and meet. Very smart and bright. He only tells you what he believes despite that the things he says in class will get him in trouble. His is the type of professor that is willing to teach the reality and not what the school tells him to teach. I took both of my Macro & Micro economics with him and got A&B.

sucks, man this guy is a weirdo!!! I can't stand the way he talks about UFO's and reptilian agenda..what the heck is that anyways? this guy is a nut case but if you don't get annoyed by that then by all means great teacher.

GREAT TEACHER ! I loved this class.. His lectures are very in depth he goes through the book section by section and explains it.. He made it easy to understand and as long as you attend the class and get it you will only have to review the book.

This teacher is just a little cooky but it makes the class interesting. He definitely looks at things from a different perspective. Pretty much NO homework with the exception of three easy summaries spread throughout the semester. The only thing bad i can say is that hes a little hard to understand with his accent, but the books fills in the rest.

I loved Mr. Irani. I took him for econ 121 for fall 2005 and It was great. He explains things very well and gives opportunity for questions. He is a fair but honest teacher and wants his students to succeed. He is definitly the best econ teacher I have seen. If you have the opportunity and willing to take a Saturday class I totally reccomend it! A+
