Professor Kang is awesome. He cares about students and makes it easy for them to learn. He lets you use a cheat sheet for quizzes, tests, and the final which is very helpful. Easy class, just pay attention in class, do the homework, and study. Highly recommend.

Great Professor. Wont move on until all questions are answered. Make sure you ask questions, as the material is hard. It is critical to know how to use the calculator. Quizzes and tests based on lectures and homework. Dont let your first quiz score discourage you from continuing on. If you work hard, you CAN definitely recover from a low score.

No better professor for 304 or 404. Explains the material until everyone in the class fully comprehends the topics. Attending class and asking questions is crucial. Class is structured/organized very clearly. All lectures uploaded to Cougar Courses. Material is hard, but if you study properly you will succeed.

I 100% recommend Dr. Kang to anybody interested in Finance. He is an amazing professor who truly does care about his students. He is a little hard to understand and doesn't speak terribly loud so sit close to his desk, and I would highly recommend participating. No wrong answer goes unexplained. Cares more about students than most.

Really enjoyed Dr. Kang's class, one of my favorite profs at CSUSM. Study the PP slides, go to class, listen carefully, and learn how to use a TI BA II Plus.

Comment:

Great finance professor. Explains with examples and welcomes any and all questions. Syllabus is flexible depending on what gets done. Due dates are strict and he does apply a curve to the class dependent on the averages. Not an easy course though. Powerpoint have all work done in class but if you miss the lecture you might have a hard time with it.

He is a great professor. Finance is going to be hard, but he tries his best to teach it to everyone. Do not fall behind and go to class! It's not mandatory but you'll regret it if you do not go to class! It is a tough subject!!! But it is doable!

IF you are FIN major, I would take him for both 304 and 404. You will be challenged but will learn the most from his class. If you wan't an easier class, you might want to switch your major. Study and work out the problems on the power points first, then do homework. That will save you time. You will have quizzes before each test. u'll do fine

Study, make a clear notes page with examples from the Powerpoints, quizzes, and homework and you will do fine. BUY the Calculator early and understand how to use it. If you ask questions, he will answer, and enjoy that you asked.

Dr. Kang is a great professor; one of the best at CSUSM. He's ethical and he cares about your understanding of the material. All material on the exams come from the powerpoint. There are no surprises. Each exam will have a quiz the day before and there is mandatory homework. His lectures are a little dull but the quality of the course was high.

this is the BEST finance professor to take. this class is HARD no matter what. he is the only professor that understands the difficulty - and tries to make it as simple as he can. make sure you take easy classes along with this one - this will take up all your time. study all the chapters inside out - slideshows - assigned problems like crazy.

Awesome professor! His exams are EXACTLY like his PPTs and the HW problems he assigns. His quizzes come a week before every exam. The material is tough, but if you study you can get a good grade! Attendance is mandatory and you must buy book.

Dr. Kang was an awesoome professor. The material are not too difficult, but if you study the problems from the back of the book, you'll do fine. It is possible to get 100 on your exam because I did. There are three quizzes, four exams including finals,allow one page cheat sheet, and one 10 page paper on Time Value of Money, super easy. I got A

Even if you do all the home work problems that you think will prepare you for the exams,you are wrong. The homework is not even relevant to his exam questions,he puts completely tricky and different questions. Wish me luck passing his class.

Really hard class, Kang tries to make as easy as possible. He is the sweetest man and really understands finance is a struggle for most. He assigns group homework, a ten page paper on time value of money and has 3 or 4 tests. Final is cumulative and he allows one paper (front and back) handwritten of notes for quizzes and tests.BEST fin302 @ CSUSM

This was not an easy class but professor Eun tried to make it as interesting as possible. He tries to help you as much as he can by replying to emails and having office hours after class. I really liked his class.

The worst teacher I have ever taken at CSUSM, got a C+, even though I studied more than ever! I have a 3.84 GPA, but this class jsut blew my mind. Class was mandatory, learned nothing in class, taught myself the material. Makes the class harder than it should be. Very strong accent. Slides are boring. Calculus was a lot easier!
