Comment:

I took Professor Ghosh for two of my classes this semester and I have never had a professor as knowledgable, organized, and phenomenal as she is. She is always respectful of her students and asks to hear students' opinions often which I appreciated. Her teaching and grading are super straightforward. If you have the chance, take her!

Comment:

This class was quite easy. She's a generous grader and gives decent feedback. Make sure to show up and talk a lot class. I went to every class and spoke at least once a class but only got a 3.5/5 for participation. The textbooks are mandatory but I never even used mine. One in class book report, two writing assignments, two "midterms," one final.

She's very straight forward in a good way. Show up, sit through lecture, and leave. Tests/quizzes are easy--just study the notes she provides (and for IL, know your cases! That was the only tricky part). Papers can seem a bit daunting, but she's a very nice grader!

Excellent professor who know everything about her field. Very respected and is there for her students. Exams are easy, she will tell you what to focus on. Papers are easy since she tell you to check with her and send drafts. She is the most helpful professor I have ever seen.

The best professor I ever had in GMU. She is very organized and knows her stuff. she help students and answer all questions. Exams are very easy and she is very helpful during exams. Very interesting lectures since she knows almost everything about politics. Very knowledgeable and grade easily. Will take her again for sure.

Great professor, VERY organized and clear! If you have any questions or concerns make sure to talk to her, she's very approachable and sweet! Every single point counts and she doesn't round up even if you're 1 point away from an A, so be sure to study hard for the quizzes! 2 exams, 2 quizzes, attendance (it counts!), 3 papers.

Ghosh is a fantastic professor. Attendance is mandatory, but if you copy down the notes she gives (which are VERY clear and concise), you won't have to do any readings, and she takes the tests/assignments straight from her notes. She's also an easy grader.

Hmm don't be misled by the the 4.1 for easiness.. she really is not EASY. You must attend class & she takes attendance exactly when class starts so do not be late! FABULOUS teacher, very good at simplifying subjects. Take good notes & you will do fine. This class IS work though, not an easy A by no means. I loved having her though, smart woman!

This lady is extremely intelligent. It's obvious that she knows what she is talking about and comes to class to teach, not to try and be buddies with the students. I like that. I didn't really look at the book. Just attend class and take notes and you'll do fine. If you need help, talking to her is definitely beneficial.

I like the discussion of this class she relates to the real world. But sometimes very dry and many annoyingly obvious questions. I like to call this class an examination of obvious principles. Please participate. Dont read the text just take great notes. She is very by the book. Straight edged. Name this guy, when he lived, and what he wrote.

Very smart woman. Lectures are boring but def participate & take notes because it will save you a lot of reading. She won't test you on something you didn't talk about/she didn't explain. Paper was easy but keep in mind its a law class. not politics. :)

I highly recommend her for fullfilling the GOVT 322 requirement for GA majors. The material for this class is very broad, and she makes it very easy to grasp.

I had two classes with her. She's good, she's consistent. She goes over the material in class and I agree, she asks annoyingly obvious questions like "What country might be a hegemon today?" She's a good GOVT prof for these broad topic classes.

She is a very nice lady. The exams are in essay question format. She is a fair grader. U need to go to every class bc all the material will be on the exam. Easy class, u dont really need the book. She will love u if u participate in class. I would take her again!!

She sometimes asks the class to answer annoying/very obvious questions that shouldn't need to be asked. Other than that, she takes attendance and participation very seriously. Don't be late! That will majorly impact your participation grade even if you attend every class. Definitely take! Her tests were really easy and her quizzes weren't that bad.

her accent is very hard to understand. she gave blue book tests in a 100 level class, like seriously? but she did grade them pretty easy. do not waste your money on the book, i never looked at it.
