one class she had a grad student sit in class to spy on us to see if we were on your phone or laptop She handed out cue card told us to write are name on them and one thing we learned today and to leave them were we were sitting so she could know who to email and "band" there laptop or phone and Wont post slides during class to follow along.

Comment:

Humble provides well-understanding and intriguing lectures. Instead of a typical midterm then a final exam, she gave our class 3 midterms and provided us with the exact questions that would be on the midterm so we could efficiently prepare for the tests. Essay's aren't too bad, just be sure you know the proper APA format and choose broad topics.

Comment:

Humble is the worse professor I have ever taken at the Mount. Her lectures are incredibly dull, pointless, and scattered. The way she carries herself as a professor is off putting, her attitude is poor and she marks incredibly hard. Calling herself the APA guru - so make sure your work is in perfect APA. She does not give reviews. Don't take her!

Comment:

Aine Humble is one of the best professors at the Mount. Unlike many profs, she is INCREDIBLY compassionate and understanding towards students who are going through difficult times. She cares about what she is teaching, she is very engaging and she is a completely fair marker. That being said, to do well you must attend class. But it is worth it!

Comment:

FSGN 2100, Healthy Aging. Lots of reading and writing. If you do the work, you will not find it difficult. Very clear on what the expectations are for the course. Available in person and through email. Only critique, slow receiving marks. Enjoyed the class and learned a lot.

A phenomenal professor. She is very knowledgeable in her field, keeps lectures interesting, and is very willing to help students. Make sure to stay in contact with her and keep her up-to-date if you have any troubles. She tries to get you to apply the class materials to your own life through the use of chapter reflections - which I loved.

Aine is wonderful! Her exams are amazing, as are her tests (take homes with 5 days to do it!) She is a tough marker, but if you really examine the questions she provides, you will do just fine. A shy lady who knows her stuff. Take some time to go talk with her, it will help a lot!

Wasn't a huge fan of this class. She gave us a final paper/project worth more than anything else in the class to do during exams, which i found a little unfair as there were no other papers or projects during actual class time. Would not recommend her because of this.

I expected a easy elective to learn about something less complex. Ended up being my worst mark... I felt like I was being mark for a Graduate class even tho it was a 2000 level. 600-800 word answers for a final exam were not sufficient... Not sure what she was expecting..

This is the first time I had aine humble as a professor, and it is also the last. She is nice but very difficult. She is not considerate at all like most profs at msvu. I have never got under a C+ on a paper and she failed me on the final paper for her class. Family studies is my minor and this was the hardest fam. Studies class I have ever taken!

I have been taking her classes for 4 years now and she has not given me a mark above C+ no matter the effort I put into it...she is VERY critical, and makes you feel stupid for the mistakes you make in your paper,I don't thinks she believes in constructive criticism. HARD PROF

Did not like this class. I find Aine is a very hard prof to get to know. Sometimes she can come across rude. She has a bad habit of calling on ppl if their hand isn't up, therefore she forces people to comment and to participate. I don't think this is fair, maybe she should take a hint as to who is interested in talking and whose not!

Aine is a good prof, however I find she has too many assignments in her class, I feel like we constantly have an assignment due. She is a very smart person and knows her stuff....and I will say after all is said and done, you come out of the class with a lot more knowledge....she always ensures that!

Good Prof. She is easy to talk to and easy to follow. Her exams are not hard but her papers were a but unclear at times. But if you talk to her, she usually helps you work everything out. I wanted to take mor eof her classes but it isn't part of my degree!

I do enjoy Aine, however she seems unaware at times of peoples difficulty to what is asked ..Clarity in assignments is crucial but not always given in this class...I think she is very smart but awkward in approachability to those who struggle
