Really great guy, i got a c in the class because i fell asleep in his morning class, labs and homework are easy. Test were hard, at least for me. Written test part was easy, but his multi choice was hard, overall good teacher, just make sure you pay attention to him and write all the notes down

very good teacher,i had minimal interest in the subject but his notes were clear and direct.u need 2 take notes b/c ur 4 tests were straight from them (30 m.c ?s and 5 essay qs-usually you choose 3 of them to do).labs were easy,he gives guidelines and study guides.No final or midterm.great teacher,i would take another class with him again for sure!

Comment:

He is a good professor if u miss any of his class u r gonna miss a lot. Me talks lot and u have to take notes while he is talking, so u have to be quick. His exams have 30 mcq's and 5 essay questions which are from the notes. So if u took the notes perfectly and studied it u r gonna get a good gradebe. All in all he is a good professor.

Comment:

Trobec is extremely intelligent and knows Biology. If you write down everything he says, you'll get an A. You NEED to pay attention in his class or else you'll be clueless. Labs are easy and the exams are exactly what he talks about in class. I never used the textbook and still got an A from just notes. If you're competent and nice, you'll be fine.

I had him for both 121 and 122 and he is such a nice guy. He cares about his students and challenges them because he wants the best from them and for them. About 6 hard test and 10 lab assignment and 2 or 3 extra credit projects up to 30 point total which I recommend doing to get at least a B in the class. He is a hard teacher but makes u want to push yourself to become better.

He was sarcastic and boring but he turned out to be really cool once I started meeting with him to ask for questions. If you study his notes and pay attention in class you'll pass. He gives no lab tests. Bad and regreted taking the class at first but I ended up taking the next BIO section with him. Just drink coffee before you go to class.

I took him during the fall. i thought he was a good teacher, boring but good. u don't have to read the book, only study his notes. He even gives a study guide before every test and no lab tests. He does make you feel stupid, but if you pass the class it doesn't matter...In class I got majority of his questions wrong, but i still passed.

Tests are somewhat difficult especially the essay section. However, if you take notes and thoroughly study your notes you will pass. Some say he is too difficult, but he just does not like laziness. Funny. Monotone voice. Sometimes impatient with students. However, I recommend him if you are planning to major in Biology. You will learn so much.

The worst professor EVER. He rambles on in class and makes you seem like your stupid if you don't know a answer to something or if you ask a question he doesn't like. He is also completely rude to students. If you take the notes and read the book before classes and test, you will be good for the class, but avoid Trobec as much as you can!!!

He is great and he will teach you things that you will remember even after you've taken his class. Pay attention and the exam will be easy. Exams are multiple choice and essay questions.You'll earn points by just babbling on the essay so it's what will pull up your exam score.

I have to admit that Trobec is extremely sarcastic. But people do tend to ask very stupid questions and he can't seem to hide his annoyance. But he is a GREAT teacher. He is passionate about BIO and will take the time to answer every question in class. He might appear harsh but it's facade. Be diligent, take good notes and it's a guaranteed A.

I received an A in his class. If you pre-read the material everyday and take good notes in class, you will get an A. On top of everything, he'll allow you 30 points extra credit, which is a half-a-grade boost (almost). With that said, don't take his class. He is very condescending, controlling, and arrogant.

He has 4 exams and a lab every week. i found out at the end of the semester that he barely reads the lab reports. Doesn't make the class interesting and the only time he gave an outline,it was useless.Wouldn't recommend him

GREAT TEACHER! knows his stuff and doesnt waste a second of class time. Doesn't like it when you waste his time either. STUDY his notes and read the chapter and you will be fine. Getting an A is not hard if you give it a try. If you are not interested in biology, take an easy teacher to get an easy A but if you wanna learn then TAKE TROBEC!

One of the useless professor i have ever had.Doesn't teach at high level. He will ask you question in class which make weird if you don't know the answer. Labs are some easy and some extremely hard. Offered extra credit if you join ecology club but only 30 points. I don't recommend him at all.

He seemed very knowledgable on topics, however explanations to the class were sometimes unclear. Most of the time you had to teach yourself. The exams were very difficult, but the labs were fine. He lets you sign up for Ecology Club for extra credit, so you get an opportunity to earn some points back. Nice guy in general, difficult class.

Difficult as they come. No matter how much you study somehow the multiple choice will get to you. Gets really annoyed when being asked questions. Only tries to make you feel stupid. I don't recommend him.
