Comment:

I never met him in person since this was an online class, but all of his written lectures and emails helped a lot. He catered his lectures more to the work being tested but needed the knowledge from the book to understand. Definitely would take a class with him again online or in person, I'd like to meet him.

Do your work over the semester and keep up and you will get an A. 4 big assignments GE's. Homework questions and quiz after each chapter section. GE 1 is first four chapters, GE 2 is two chapters, and the last two GE's are only one chapter each. Go through the discussion board homework it helps to check and actually do all the questions, worth it-

Online Logics class was a bit tricky but he was very good on grading and always there to help. He allowed a lot of extra credit. Two tests on campus, final and midterm but if you study or kept up with your work are fairly easy. This logics class isn't something you cram in to study for over one day, it is consistent work over the semester.

Comment:

Good teacher, cares about his students. Helps when you have issues and actually wants you to make time to see him. Cares more about what you learn and take from the class then what you have to turn in. Deadlines are also extended if you need them. He makes the class stress free. I would definitely take again, but you do have to put in decent work.

TAKE HIM!!!! I just finished taking his class online. I've never met him in person but from my online experience with him, He is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. He gives really good feedback on your work and offers extra credit as well. The papers and exams are graded on time. He is also lenient about due dates. One of the best professors at Oakton.

Great Professor, always willing to help. Makes sure everyone understands the material. Best Professor at Oakton. Strongly recommend. Just do the reading and then talk about it, that is the class in a nut shell. Always allowed to rewrite your papers at any point in the semester.

BEST!! my favorite professor at Oakton. This teacher wants to succeed and so helpful. Logic is a hard topic wherever you take it, but with this professor it makes so sense. The material is challenging but if you work hard you get a good grade, I got a B. I took the class online. Tom is very organized and wants all his students to succeed. A+++

He's a great teacher if you are starting philosophy! If you are taking him for honors, the work load is not time-consuming. Seminar presentations and essays are easy if you participate in class or seek help from him in his office, which is usually available. If you are confused, he can tell easily and will help you understand. Overall, great class!

I had logic in the summer and it was a difficult topic. He had given 3 major exams with 4 hmwk assignments. I can tell you the 2nd exam was long. However, the instructor was helpful and provided practice material for all of us to grasp and comprehend the material. It wasn't easy.Take it in the fall not the summer.

Looove him! had him for 3 classes & I'm so mad I've taken all the classes he's teaching this semester. One of the smartest people I've met but doesn't act like a know-it-all. Classes make you think twice about what you believe in. There wasn't a day I didn't wana go to his class. & The whole class feels like a group of friends by the end.
